This cottage is like a Tardis inside and is great for families. It’s located on the shore of Loch Hourn, and the drive on the single-track road to get to Croftfoot is wonderful.. Ground Floor:

Private parking for 2 cars; additional on road parking. 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). No smoking. Please note: the property is accessed via a 20 metre gravel path through the garden from the road.. Nestled on the edge of Loch Hourn under Beinn Sgritheall in the peaceful hamlet of Arnisdale, Croftfoot is a traditional Highland cottage offering a cosy and comfortable retreat for up to eight guests.
With views across the garden to the loch and hills of Knoydart beyond, it’s the perfect escape.
The cottage features four bedrooms; a ground-floor double bedroom and a modern shower room and upstairs you’ll find a twin room and two further double bedrooms, all full of character and charm, alongside a family bathroom.
The spacious lounge, has an open fire and windows facing the loch. At the rear of the house, the well-equipped kitchen-diner looks out onto the sheltered back garden and hills.
Guests also have access to bikes, ideal for gentle rides along the scenic coastal road or exploring nearby tracks.
While staying at Croftfoot, enjoy the many walks from your doorstep, from a short stroll through the villages of Arnisdale and even remoter Corran to more ambitious hikes along the lochside or up into Glen Arnisdale with its fresh water lochs.
A short drive brings you back to Glenelg, where you can visit the famous Glenelg Inn, explore the well-preserved Iron Age Brochs, or take the turntable ferry across to the Isle of Skye and drive over to Broadford returning via the Skye bridge, visiting Eileen Donan Castle on your way back to the comforts of Croftfoot.
For relaxation try fishing, or just sitting, by the shore.
Wildlife lovers may spot seals, otters, porpoises, the occasional dolphin or whale, red deer, and even golden and sea eagles on your walks.
