Welcome to Walker`s Cottage, a tastefully renovated home, combining cottage charm with modern freshness. You`ll find comfort and style across the three levels. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.
Walker`s Cottage at First Glance:
Location: Nestled within walking distance of Windermere village, close to local amenities and adventures.
Layout: Tastefully renovated, three-level mid terraced cottage.
Entrance: A few steps down from the road level leads to the front entrance of the property.
Ground floor features a cosy living room with gas log burner and Smart TV. Separate, well-equipped kitchen/diner leading out to the rear patio with garden seating.
First floor: King size bedroom with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Family bathroom with bath, basin and WC.
Second floor: Twin bedroom and single bedroom.
•Luxury toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel.
Entertainment: Smart TV with Netflix for relaxing evenings in (own login required).
Outdoor Space: Cosy patio garden to the front and at the rear.
Family-Friendly: Just round the corner from Queens Park, with a playground for kids. A community store and scenic walks, like School Knott are also within easy reach.
Welcome to Walker`s Cottage, your Lakes getaway! We`re nestled in the heart of Windermere, and getting here is a breeze.
If you`re arriving by car, there`s great news for you - there is usually free parking on Oakthwaite road immediately outside the property or plenty more unlimited on street parking on Park Road (1 min walk). If you`re arriving by train/ bus they`re both a short 20 minutes walk from the house.
And when it comes to checking in, we`ve made it as simple as can be. Just use the key safe outside of the front door for self check-in and let your Lake District adventure begin!
While we don`t live on the property, we`re always here for you! You can reach out to us anytime through Airbnb or over the phone. We strive to respond as quickly as we can, but if we`re not immediately available, don`t worry! Our trusted letting agent, Laik, is also on hand to assist you. They have a great deal of experience and are fantastic at answering any queries or resolving any issues you may encounter during your stay. Walker`s Cottage is a delightful mid terraced Lakeland cottage nestled in the heart of Windermere village, two minutes walk from Queens Park and ten minutes walk from Windermere village. All the amenities you need are close by, including a food shops for your day-to-day essentials.
Queens Park, right on our doorstep, is a hit with families. Little ones will love the swings and slides, while older kids can show off their skills at the large skate ramp. If sports are your thing, you`re spoilt for choice with a football pitch, tennis court, crown green bowling, and squash pavilion. And let`s not forget the cricket square!
For a breath of fresh air, there`s no shortage of walks nearby. Orrest Head and School Knott are fantastic for a leisurely stroll or a challenging hike. And if you fancy a day by the water, Lake Windermere, including the lovely Miller Ground spot perfect for a BBQ, is just a short walk away.
All in all, it`s a pretty brilliant spot for your Lake District adventure!
