Small balcony with a view towards Lake Windermere and an off-street designated parking space. Well stocked with plenty of DVDs for relaxing indoors. The Property:
The apartment is situated on the third floor of the building and is accessed via stairs, there is no lift/elevator available. There is a separate toilet, a bathroom with a shower over the bath, a fully equipped kitchen (please note that there are two fridges and only a small freezer compartment in one of these), an open plan lounge/diner leading onto the the small balcony with views towards Lake Windermere and three bedrooms, one king and two twins.
You will have the whole property to yourself.
The Local Area:
Set right in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, home of the famous World of Beatrix Potter attraction and a few minutes walk from the shores of Windermere, the Lake District's largest body of water. There are excellent links to other Lake District hot spots via road or using the steamers and boats which provide transport across the lake.
Parking and Public Transport:
There is a designated off-street parking space in front of the garage, you may be able to fit two smaller cars in this space.
Stagecoach runs bus services from Bowness to many Lake District destinations. The nearest bus stop is on Lake Road, near the Royalty Cinema, about 7 minutes walk from Quarry Rigg with the main bus station being up near the train station.
Windermere train station is approximately 1.5 miles, (5 min drive) from Quarry Rigg.
Check-in and Check out:
The property is set up to allow remote access with easy self check-in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed.
Please note: Check-in is from 16:00 and Check-out is before 10:00.
We Provide:
We provide a selection of complimentary teas and coffees, oil, salt and pepper, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil and greaseproof paper as well as a washing-up pack, oven gloves and tea towels. The consumables should last at least a couple of days. If you do need to top up your supplies there is a Co-op just a three minute walk from the apartment.
We also provide locally made hair and body wash and hand wash in refillable aluminium bottles from Bath House and some cleaning products in case you need them while you are visiting. The cleaning products can be found under the sink in the kitchen.
Additional Fees/Charges:
A £50 charge will be requested if you check out or check in up to an hour outside the set times without prior permission and an extra night's rate for any time greater than this.
There will be a £50 call out fee if keys are locked inside the property and a £100 fee if keys are lost or not left in the key safe on your departure.
Vaping: not allowed
Extra guests: not allowed
Quiet hours: 10pm to 7am
Fees for early check-in or late check out without prior approval: £50 fee for up to an hour and an extra night's rate for any time greater than an hour
Lost keys or keys not left in the key safe on departure: £100 fee
Keys locked inside the property: £50 fee
Please leave the property in a similar state to when you arrived and lock all doors and windows.
