About this property
Bramble Cottage a stunning detached cottage in the heart of St Columb Minor.
Bramble Cottage is a stunning detached property which lies in the heart of a small village called St Columb Minor. It is only one mile from family friendly beaches such as Porth, Lusty Glaze and Whipsiderry and only a couple of miles away from the centre of Newquay. A local Co-op is five minutes walk away and to the rear of the cottage is a dog friendly park as well as a play area for children. Beryl bikes are nearby to cycle and view some of the breathtaking scenery. The cottage comes with parking, welcomes doggies and really is in the perfect location to make anyone's holiday that little extra special.
This attractive abode can accommodate up to three guests offering an open planned living area on the ground floor, downstairs bathroom and fully equipped kitchen, including a small air fryer. The lounge area has a sofa bed, bluetooth sound bar and TV that has access to Netflix and more. Following upstairs is a beautifully decorated bedroom with a comfortable double bed where one can gain a good nights sleep ready for the following days adventures!
The village has a pub and a shop, and is a great base from which to enjoy the surfing town of Newquay or to tour Cornwall. With its stunning beaches, Newquay is just minutes away with its many restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions including a zoo, Sealife Centre, leisure centre, cinema, golf course, pitch and put course, parks, gardens and boating lake. With surf schools along the beaches you can try your hand at this exhilarating sport, along with kayaking along the River Gannel an AONB and home to sea birds.
A little further along the coast is Crantock, a coastal village with an outstanding beach, clear waters and stunning dunes. The village has three pubs and can be reached by foot from Newquay if you are feeling adventurous and energetic. Padstow, home to Rick Steins food empire, is a must for all the family. Wander around the narrow streets that lead to the working harbour and enjoy the ambience provided by this traditional working fishing village. Watergate Bay has a two mile stretch of golden sands and an excellent kite surfing beach.
The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Ives and Fowey are all easily reached too and all provide an excellent day out. Truro, the capital of Cornwall is easily reached and is a must to explore the narrow streets and enjoy the restaurants, shopping, museum, cinema and theatre for an alternative day or evening out.
