About this property
Y Beudy at Coed Melin, Aberporth
Y Beudy at Coed Melin is a spacious retreat in a unique forest garden setting, surrounded by farms and rolling hills, close to the beaches, rivers, and the hidden corners of West Wales.
Occupying a magical spot overlooking the gorge in which sits a beautiful forest garden and the delightful tumbling river.
Ideal for those who seek peace and want to relax and explore the history, mystery and adventure that this annexe, the garden and the area offers.
A nature lover’s haven, enjoy a sunny breakfast on the balcony as you watch the woodpeckers, jays, red kites and the myriad birds, butterflies, and bees that visit the gardens. In the gorge, keep an eye out for the dippers, wagtails, and herons as they feed and, if you are lucky, an occasional glimpse of a fox, badger or otter.
There are many beautiful walks nearby, including the Ceredigion Coast Path, the Teifi Marshes, and the Preseli Hills in the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, all nearby and offering fantastic scenery.
If you’re looking for something more relaxing and creative, it’s an ideal location for painters and photographers, with creative workshops available locally. Discover ancient spiritual connections, such as the magnificent Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, which is only a 30-minute drive.
West Wales is a haven for dark skies, and you can enjoy truly unforgettable nights on the National Trust beaches of Penbryn and Cwmtydu.
For those looking for a cultural day out, Cardigan Castle is only 10 minutes away, and Cilgerran Castle is only 15 minutes away.
