About this property
5 Bed in Walberswick (oc-hlodg2)
Situated in its own grounds in an idyllic coastal village, this spacious holiday home is perfect for larger families and groups of friends looking for a peaceful getaway in a charming part of Suffolk. Offering breezy accommodation for up to ten guests, the property lies along a quiet lane in Walberswick, with a secluded beach just quarter of a mile away. Featuring a large garden, an airy main living area and five stylish bedrooms, this light-filled retreat is a perfect location for family celebrations, and a great base for discovering the area’s beautiful coastline, gorgeous countryside and tranquil beaches.
The cottage has a cosy lounge with plenty of seating, making an ideal space to snuggle up to watch a movie. There’s an additional snug seating area which leads through sliding doors into the open-plan kitchen/diner which makes a fantastic light-filled space, perfect for getting together to cook and enjoy a celebratory meal. The ground floor also has a lovely shower room and a cheerful twin bedroom. Upstairs, there’s a family bathroom and a separate shower room, alongside the four remaining bedrooms: two king-size (one en-suite), one twin with en-suite, and an en-suite super-king-size room. Two sets of bifold doors open from the kitchen/diner onto the pretty patio which makes a lovely space for a spot of al fresco dining. The large enclosed garden has a sweet lawn with plenty of space for family games, as well as an outdoor shower and a chalet where you can play table football.
Walberswick is a charming former fishing village along the Dunwich River, with several great pubs and restaurants. Southwold is a short ferry ride across the River Blyth, and is home to a popular model boat pond, lighthouse and beach. Also nearby are RSPB Minsmere, Henstead Exotic Gardens and Leiston Abbey, all within 12 miles.
