Make your way into the cottage, which has underfloor heating downstairs, leaving your walking boots or wellies in the hall. Take time out together in the delightful lounge/diner, with its beamed ceiling and exposed brickwork. Cuddle up on the sofa in front of a programme on the Smart TV or watch a film on the Blu-ray DVD player. Discover the appealing kitchen/diner, which also features beams, has everything you need to prepare tasty treats with the fresh Suffolk ingredients you have bought on your forays, then dine up at the breakfast bar in here or through in the main room next door. As day turns to night, make your way up the steep staircase, which has a rope handrail, to the king-size bedroom, which has a beautiful, en-suite bathroom, with freestanding bath. Wake up to magical river views, then head downstairs and out into the garden for breakfast and coffee in the fresh air on sunny mornings. There is parking for one car at this property.

Lace up your walking boots and head 4 miles to Shotley Gate to take in stunning views across the rivers Orwell and Stour. Venture 4.5 miles to try your hand at a range of water sports, including wind surfing, kayaking and canoeing, at Alton Water.
