Overlooking Aldborough village green and cricket pitch, and just a minutes walk from the friendly village pub, and well stocked shop and Post Office. This picturesque mid 19th Century brick and flint holiday cottage, is beautifully furnished to a high standard, helping to create a gorgeous retreat. Combining both character and comfort, books and works of art add to the mix, and the sunny garden is the piece de resistance. Sleeping four guests, the Stables offers families and couples the perfect base for days at the beach, cycling, walking and generally exploring the fabulous North Norfolk coast and countryside.
On entering the cottage, a small but handy entrance hall greets you, perfect for leaving your flip flops or walking boots. A door opens to the shower room & WC, while the other door welcomes you into the well-appointed kitchen, with delightful views over the Green to the front and garden to the rear. An open archway leads through to the vaulted dining room, furnished with bookshelves, dressers and a farmhouse-style table and chairs. From the dining room, three steps lead up to the cosy sitting room, a wonderfully relaxing place in which to snuggle up on one of the two sofas, with the wood burner blazing in winter, enjoying the Smart TV, DVD, or a good book. From the dining room, a door leads to the inner hall, were the bathroom, with electric shower over, and the two bedrooms are located. The super king size bedroom and the twin bedroom, have ample storage and Simba mattresses on attractive beds, both bedrooms enjoy quiet views to the garden. As with the sitting room, three steps lead up from the inner hall to the Super king bedroom. One of the delights of the cottage, apart from location, is the sunny garden, which has a delightful summerhouse and an arbour seat. Enjoy a morning coffee or a sundowner on the bistro set, or relax on the furnished patio for drinks, alfresco meals and BBQs.
Aldborough is an absolute gem, with an excellent children's play area, a quintessential village pub, The ‘Cricketers on the Green’, and a village shop-cum-post office for everyday needs. The area is perfect for cycling and walking, with the Weavers’ Way passing through the village, and you can reach the coast in 20 minutes! Cromer, (7 miles) with its iconic pier and sandy beach, is well worth a day trip, as are the many delightful beaches all along the coast. Cromer also boasts golf, tennis, Amazona Zoo and a surf school. Aldborough is also sandwiched between two wonderful National trust properties; Blickling to the south and Felbrigg to the North. The historic market towns of Holt and Aylsham are just a short drive away, and Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are less than 35 minutes away.
