About this property

1 Bed in Mevagissey (oc-h27460)

Tucked away along a traffic-free lane near the historic harbour, this charming cottage offers a quirky hideaway for two in a central Mevagissey location and comes complete with an elevated garden offering views of the surrounding countryside.

Enter via a set of stone steps and find yourself in the charming dining/snug room, where a cosy wood burner sets the stage for delightful meals. Adjacent to this room lies the fully equipped kitchen, ready to cater to all your culinary needs. Ascend the stairs to the spacious lounge with an additional sofa and footrest, perfect for unwinding in front of the TV. Unique artwork, painted floorboards, and seaside-themed decor reflect the coastal ambience that surrounds the cottage. A short flight of steps leads you to the bathroom, and towards the back of the cottage awaits a welcoming double bedroom. Venture out through the bedroom’s back door and climb the steps to the elevated terrace to find a peaceful setting for al fresco dining. The enclosed courtyard at the front of the cottage offers an additional seating area shared with the neighbouring property. There’s also a utility building for your convenience.

This picturesque fishing village on Cornwall’s south coast enchants with its narrow streets, colourful buildings, and bustling harbour, where you can embark on a ferry trip to Fowey. The South West Coast Path weaves through the village, unveiling breathtaking views of the coastline. Enjoy a leisurely stroll to Portmellon Beach (1 mile) and continue on to Chapel Point and Colonna Beach, favoured haunts of grey seals. Fishing, boating, and hiking are popular pastimes, providing endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Don’t miss the Lost Gardens of Heligan, accessible by a 45-minute walk through a wooded valley or a 2.5-mile drive. The world-renowned Eden Project is also within reach 9.5 miles away. For a day at the seaside, Polstreath Beach (1 mile), Pentewan Sands (3 miles), and Gorran Haven (3.5 miles) promise unforgettable coastal experiences.
