About this property
Exclusive stylish Georgian Estate with Space for Everyone to Unwind
Welcome to Barton Court, a beautifully restored Georgian estate set beneath the rolling Malvern Hills in the heart of the English countryside. Loved by guests from around the world, the estate combines 250 years of history with fresh, contemporary interiors, offering a rare opportunity to experience authentic English heritage without giving up modern comforts.
Whether you’re planning a family gathering, a special trip with friends, or a once-in-a-lifetime English escape, Barton Court provides space, beauty and a true sense of occasion.
It is a Georgian country house with a story. Built in the mid-18th century as a gift of love [the owner was trying to woo an heiress], Barton Court retains the charm and character of its origins. Decorative plasterwork, generous fireplaces and tall sash windows create an atmosphere that feels both elegant and inviting. Many guests describe it as “stepping into a period drama—but with great Wi-Fi, soft beds and underfloor heating.”
It is beautifully designed for group stays. The Main House sleeps up to 26 guests across 11 bedrooms, nine of them en suite. Rooms are comfortable, thoughtfully furnished and designed to feel like a boutique hotel rather than a museum piece. The layout includes several ground-floor bedrooms, making the house suitable for multi-generational groups.
Across the estate, additional self-contained cottages and converted barns offer even more accommodation, bringing the total capacity to around 40 guests. These spaces can be booked together or individually, depending on the size and style of your party.
It is light, spacious and has modern amenities. Though rich in history, Barton Court is fully updated for modern living:
Fast, reliable Wi-Fi across the estate
Multiple reception rooms for relaxing or gathering
Large, well-equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking together or hiring a private chef
Sumptuous bedding, hotel-quality linens and modern bathrooms with proper showers
Smart TVs, updated appliances and contemporary heating
EV chargers for electric cars
Private parking for all guests
You enjoy all the charm of an English country house with none of the compromise.
There are flexible indoor and outdoor spaces. The estate includes a mix of cosy period rooms, stylish converted barns and open gardens where guests can relax, dine or play. The Walled Garden and Pleasure Garden provide a peaceful backdrop for morning coffee, picnics, yoga or photography.
It is the perfect base for exploring England. Barton Court sits in the gentle countryside of Herefordshire, close to the Malvern Hills—an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The location feels wonderfully rural, yet it’s easy to reach historic towns, cultural attractions and key landmarks.
Guests often enjoy:
Walks on the Malvern Hills
Day trips to Oxford, Bath, the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon
Visits to Eastnor Castle, Hereford Cathedral and traditional market towns
Local pubs, cider orchards, farm shops and countryside restaurants
For those travelling from overseas, Barton Court offers everything you imagine about the English countryside—stone churches, hedgerows, soft hills, Georgian architecture—brought together in one place.
It is ideal for celebrations and milestone moments. The estate is often booked for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, intimate wedding weekends, as well as multi-day retreats. With spacious indoor areas and beautiful outdoor settings, it’s easy to create memorable shared experiences.
You will find peace, privacy and a warm welcome. Despite its size, Barton Court feels personal and welcoming. Guests frequently say they feel instantly at home. The estate’s quiet location, big skies and surrounding nature make it easy to slow down, reconnect and truly unwind.

About the host
Hosted by Linda Camp
We are Linda and James, owners of Barton Court, a Georgian country estate with more than 250 years of history that we fell in love with at first sight. We have spent years restoring it with the aim of creating a place where friends and families could gather, celebrate and feel completely at home.
We live on the estate and personally look after each stay, ensuring that everything is comfortable, welcoming and easy from the moment you arrive. Many of our guests travel from overseas, and we’re always happy to help with planning—whether it’s local recommendations, arranging a private chef, or simply offering guidance on the best day trips.
For us, Barton Court is more than a beautiful house. It’s a place designed for connection: long dinners, big birthday weekends, milestone trips, and those unforgettable family moments you remember for years. We’re proud to share it with guests from all over the world and look forward to welcoming you to your own English countryside experience.
