About this property

4 Bed in Helmsley (oc-y039)

This beautiful and spacious house, less than half a mile walk to the historic market town of Helmsley, is perfect for families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday gathering. Helmsley has retained its medieval layout, interesting period stone-built cottages, and many charming traditional shops and tearooms surrounding the marketplace. Take some time to stroll and look around the historic Helmsley Castle (0.5 miles).

An attractive property, set over two levels, elegantly furnished with fascinating artefacts, furniture, and antiques. Downstairs the kitchen/diner is a wonderful space to relax, eat and entertain, with a large table and a contemporary kitchen with all the appliances you need to create a celebratory meal. The adjacent family area provides additional space to watch TV or play games, keeping it social. The separate lounge and garden room offer plenty of space to chat. The lounge has two comfortable sofas, a TV and underfloor heating, making it a great year-round escape. Double doors lead through to the garden room. There are four bedrooms on the first floor - a king-size with an en-suite bathroom and patio doors but no balcony, two twin rooms (one with an en-suite bathroom) and a queen-size with patio doors giving a view to the garden. Outside is a large front grassed area and patio area to the rear of the property with a seating table and chairs and a BBQ.

There are lots of local attractions, with Duncombe Park - the beautiful dwelling of the Barons of Feversham and the International Centre for Birds of Prey less than two miles. Head further afield and discover the historic Rievaulx Abbey (3 miles), Nunnington Hall (6 miles) and the Sutton Bank National Park Centre (8 miles), where you can have cycling and walking adventures while taking in some spectacular views.
