About this property
Stoneywell Cottage | Elie
Tucked just yards from the sand, this traditional three-bedroom terraced cottage offers easy-going coastal living with sea views from the upstairs sitting room and an enclosed garden to the rear. It’s a lovely spot for families or friends who want to be moments from the beach, close to Elie’s shops and cafés, and within easy reach of the East Neuk’s walking routes and nearby golf courses. The rear garden also has access from Bank Street, making it handy for bringing in bikes and beach gear.
On the ground floor, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms: two twin rooms, each with wash hand basin, and a double bedroom with king-size bed, its own basin, plus TV and DVD – ideal if you like a quiet retreat at the end of the day. The family bathroom on this level has a bath with shower over, WC and basin.
Upstairs, the first floor is all about light and sociable living. The kitchen/dining area is fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and microwave, along with a dining table for relaxed meals after a day on the beach or the nearby links. Just off this, the utility area houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer, keeping everything practical for longer stays.
To the rear, a bright conservatory overlooks the garden and offers a cosy spot with sofa and chairs – perfect for a morning coffee or an afternoon read. There’s also a handy cloakroom with WC and basin. The main living room feels warm and welcoming, with a large dining table for games or family suppers, gas/coal-effect wood-burning stove and TV with DVD player, plus sea glimpses to remind you just how close you are to the water.
Outside, the enclosed rear garden provides a safe, private space for children to play or for adults to sit out, with that useful gate access from Bank Street.
