About this property
The A Barn - Houghton - a barn conversion that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
This stunning property sleeps up to six guests in three en-suite bedrooms, with additional flexibility provided by two sofa beds. Every bedroom is thoughtfully designed to make the most of the spectacular setting, each featuring a Smart TV and elegant finishes throughout.
On the ground floor, you'll find two serene bedrooms, both with direct access to the garden. One offers a comfortable double bed with a modern en-suite shower room, while the second features a king-size bed, a generous en-suite shower room, and a cosy seating area perfectly positioned to soak up uninterrupted views across the South Downs.
Upstairs, the show-stopping principal bedroom is a sanctuary in itself. A super-king bed faces a large picture window, allowing you to wake up to rolling hills without leaving your pillow. The room also boasts a beautiful roll-top bath, ideal for long soaks while enjoying the view and spotting local wildlife, along with a separate shower room and WC.
The fully equipped kitchen is designed for both relaxed breakfasts and indulgent dinners, featuring an oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, wine fridge, toaster, cafetière, and a Magimix coffee machine. A spacious dining table provides the perfect setting for family meals and memorable evenings together.
The barn also offers two mezzanine levels: one a cosy snug with board games, and the other a relaxed TV space with a Smart TV. Two sofa beds are available (one on the mezzanine and one in a ground-floor bedroom) for an extra £75.00 per sofa bed.
Outside, The A Barn is surrounded by expansive landscaped views, with garden patios that seamlessly blend into wildflower meadows and open countryside, an idyllic spot for morning coffee, sunset drinks, or simply unwinding in nature.
Dogs are welcome, there is a £30 charge for this, guests are kindly reminded that the property is next to a working farm with livestock, so dogs must be kept on a lead in outdoor areas.
With ample parking available and a truly special setting, The A Barn offers a luxurious yet relaxed countryside retreat, perfect for families, friends, and anyone looking to experience the beauty of the South Downs in comfort and style.
There are no stair gates at the property, so we ask no children under 4 years old please.
