About this property

Appartamento dei Templari by Ca-Sa Check

In the most secret and fascinating heart of Venice , just a 10-minute walk from St. Mark's Square , there is a place that is not just an accommodation, but a fragment of history: the Templar's Apartment .
An introduction that smells of legend
The apartment is located inside the ancient Palazzo dei Templari, a building of 1200 in Venetian Gothic style, protected by UNESCO and guardian of symbols and mysteries handed down over the centuries.
The majestic marble door, sculpted like the hull of a medieval ship, tells of Mediterranean trade and ancient routes to Constantinople. The ancient handles depict Templar symbols: the tree of life and the five-petalled rose, a mystical emblem linked to the Grail tradition.
Beyond the entrance, a bright internal courtyard with decorated well wall leads to a palace that preserves original Roman columns, marble floors from the thirteenth century and even a pre-Christian Phoenician column that is more than two thousand years old. The beams of the apartment come from ancient Venetian galeazze: firewood of war that today silently support a space of peace and hospitality.
Here, medieval Venice is not told: it is breathed.

The Templar's Apartment
Once you cross the threshold, you have the feeling of entering a secluded and protected place, almost guarded by time. A small entrance leads gently to the kitchen equipped with a kettle and microwave: a simple and functional space, perfect for preparing a slow breakfast while discreet light filters in from outside and Venice wakes up.
The living area is intimate and welcoming, with its sofa ready to welcome moments of quiet, a table for soft dinners and two chairs that invite conversation. The sofa can become a single sofa bed perfect for accommodating a third guest. It is a cozy space, designed to experience Venice slowly, between an evening return and the story of the wonders just discovered.
The bedroom is large, enveloping, almost suspended between past and present. The ancient beams above the head preserve centuries of history, while the two bedside tables with two Murano glass lamps frame the bed, creating a warm and reassuring atmosphere. The exposed coat rack and chest add an authentic and practical touch, while the television accompanies moments of rest. It is a room that invites you to stop, to slow down, to let yourself be lulled by the ancient silence of the building.
The bathroom, complete with sink, shower, toilet and bidet, is functional and well organized, designed to offer comfort in such a suggestive historical context.

Staying at the Templar's Apartment means sleeping within walls that cross the centuries, walking on stones that have seen knights, merchants and travelers, and at the same time having everything at hand: St. Mark's Square is just a 10-minute walk away , as is Rialto and the city's most iconic wonders.
An intimate retreat steeped in history, where Venice is not just a destination, but an ancient tale that continues to live on.
