Accommodation comprises three bedrooms, two super kingsize, one with an en-suite, and a bunk room with two bunk beds perfect for the kids in the group. There’s a bathroom on the first floor and an additional shower room just off the utility room on the ground floor. There’s a comfortable and bright lounge with a Smart TV and a separate dining room with patio doors leading out into the garden and patio. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you’ll need for your stay including a dishwasher. There’s a washing machine in the utility room and access to the side of the house from here too. At the rear of the house is a simple and well-presented large patio with a built-in BBQ and a lawn area and there’s parking for up to three cars.
The surrounding area has many attractions waiting to be discovered such as the local beach at Combe Martin where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets of the North Devon coast. On the doorstep is Combe Martin’s very own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and the surrounding area boasts other attractions such as Cairn Woodland Nature Reserve, Watermouth Bay and the South West Coast Path, the lovely Fuchsia Valley, Watermouth Castle and Theme Park and don’t forget the nearby town of Ilfracombe with its very own harbour and port which dates back to at least the 12th Century with quality ice cream, fish and chips and various craft shops plus Damien Hirst’s Verity statue which is a must-see.
Trips to Lundy Island, coastal cruises, fishing, sea-life safaris and diving are also all available from here. Take a trip on the Ilfracombe Princess and see seals, porpoises and sea birds nesting on the cliffs. Try your hand at sea fishing on Blue Fin or take an exhilarating tour of the amazing coastline on the Ilfracombe Sea Safari or on the Hampshire Rose, a former RNLI Lifeboat. Combe Martin is also perfectly situated to enjoy the countless other North Devon attractions such as the popular Tarka Trail which provides the unique opportunity to follow a disused railway line allowing you to enjoy some of Devon’s finest countryside and scenery stretching from Barnstaple through to Bideford and beyond. And then there’s stunning Exmoor National Park with its beautiful night skies, just 6 miles away and Lynton & Lynmouth, 13 miles to the northeast with its incredible sea views, rugged cliffs and amazing funicular cliff railway which opened in 1890 and is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world!
