We were a party of 7 - grandparents, parents and 3 teenage boys - and we had plenty of space in this well-equipped and stylish property. The ground floor has a hall and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom, including toilet, is half-way up the stairs to the lounge and the main double bedroom (which includes the shower). The top floor has another double and a triple bedroom. The layout is a bit quirky but manageable. Streaming works well over wifi. The house opens directly onto a main road - so you have to use the Bitterbeck car park about 50m away (about 7/day). The car park can get full at times although we managed to find a space whenever we needed it. Cockermouth is a small town but has three main supermarkets and a range of local traders (bakers, butchers, etc). There's a good choice of restaurants and many pubs - including Jennings' Brewery. You can also visit Wordsworth House (National Trust). All in all, we ignored the little inconveniences and had a great time.
