Gorgeous Cottage
We loved our stay at Loveday Cottage. It was the most perfect location for our Cotswolds short break and steps from one of the best pubs The Fox at Oddington. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and is very well equipped. Very comfortable beds and linens, and a lovely courtyard and long garden with the benefit of its own parking space at the rear. Plenty of clear information on both the property and the local area. We couldnt find a fault. Highly recommended and we hope to return.

Exceptional stay at Loveday cottage
Our two-night stay at Loveday Cottage in Lower Oddington was nothing short of exceptional. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, cosy, thoughtfully designed, while still feeling luxurious and impeccably maintained.
Every detail in every room had clearly been considered, from the very comfortable furnishings to the well equipped kitchen and spotless interiors. It struck the perfect balance between rustic character and modern convenience. We especially loved how quiet and peaceful the surroundings were.
The location is fantastic, nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds with fantastic walks right on the doorstep and easy access to nearby villages such as stow-on-the-wold and Bourton-on-the-water. After a day of exploring, returning to the warmth and comfort of the cottage was an absolute highlight.
This was exactly the kind of escape we were hoping for. We would highly recommend Loveday Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside retreat, and we’re already looking forward to going back.

Perfectly restored cottage for the perfect getaway in the heart of the cotswolds
We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated cottage in Oddington, right in the heart of the Cotswolds. It strikes that rare balance between preserving the classic Cotswold charm while seamlessly incorporating all the modern comforts you’d hope for in a family getaway.
The cottage felt warm and inviting from the moment we arrived. The open fireplace quickly became the heart of our evenings, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. The kitchen deserves a special mention—it’s spacious, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well-equipped, making it ideal for family cooking and shared meals which comfortably brought everyone together, and the outdoor terrace was a fantastic bonus. The BBQ setup made for some memorable evenings outdoors, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and fresh country air.
Everything about the space felt carefully considered, from the quality of the renovation to the blend of rustic character and modern convenience. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making this a comfortable and stylish retreat.
Overall, this cottage is a perfect choice for couples or small families looking to experience the beauty of the Cotswolds without sacrificing comfort. We’d happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside escape. Further bonus was the local pub, the Fox in Oddington, which is only a few steps away and serves up some of the best food and drinks within the country and the nearby Daylesford farm, only a short drive away in Kingham. Very close also to Stow-On-The-Wold for super markets, shops and takeaways.
