The cottage is spacious, peaceful and immaculately presented with everything you need for a comfortable stay. With walks from the doorstep and private parking, you can relax, leave your car and enjoy your holiday on foot.

Cuthbert’s Retreat offers a convenient and tranquil retreat for relaxing after exploring the beautiful Cheviot Hills, stunning surrounding countryside or the famous coast and castles of the Northumberland Coast.

Known as the Gateway to the Cheviots, Wooler offers endless walking, cycling and sightseeing opportunities, with St Cuthbert’s Way passing through the town, designated Dark Skies sites and an abundance of heritage. Attractions within a short drive include the Scottish Boarders, Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Bamburgh and Holy Island, Farne Island boat trips and the Northumberland Coast path.

The cottage is moments from the independent shops on the high street including gift and antique shops, Ad Gefrin whisky distillery, bakers, butcher, newsagents, pharmacy, post office, cafes, restaurants and dog-friendly pubs.

Master bedroom - a spacious calm room with beautiful views of St Mary’s Church. Double bed, drawers and large in-built wardrobe (*please note we have installed discreet secondary glazing so you can enjoy the church without the bells keeping you awake!)
