I wish I would have had more days off to have stayed longer. The place could NOT be more perfect!! The host was VERY quick to respond!All the vintage charm and modern conveniences! The rocker porch is perfect for coffee and staring into the woods!! If you are allergic to cleaners and chemicals...this is your place. It smelled clean, but nothing burned my sinuses or lungs! The beds were so comfortable and the linen/towels were good quality!! My son did a load of laundry while there and stated those worked well too! Next time we are going to make time to fire up the grill!! Highly recommend!!

This cabin was beyond our expectations. It was very clean and very cozy. It had everything we needed and we will definitely see if it is available on our next trip to the mountains. It was 30-45 minutes from everything we wanted to do. Jim and Pam greeted us when we arrived and were the most gracious hosts!!!

Better than expected

We were looking to get away for a few days and this property was perfect. Enough space for the kids to explore, well equipped kitchen, crazy clean. Close to many waterfalls. Owners were friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Dad & Daughter Trip

This property is a gem! It is a beautifully restored farm house with great modern amenities.. My daughter and I enjoyed cooking together in the large and well-stocked kitchen, and our hosts, Pam and Jim, were most hospitable and helpful in making this trip special for us. Cottage near Franklin NC

The cottage had everything we needed, was very clean and tidy and a in a quiet beautiful rural setting. The town of Franklin was conveniently located only 15 minutes drive away for shopping. There were local waterfalls and trails to explore as well as many attractions within driving distance. The owners were available for any queries and easily contacted and we would not hesitate to return again.

Wonderful Home Away From Home

This home was beautifully and lovingly restored. It was the perfect rental. It is comfortable, immaculate, and well-stocked. We saw deer in the yard and a hawk on the fencepost. We could not ask for a better vacation rental. Jim and Pam are great hosts. We have family in the area and will definitely be back.

Very quaint and cozy little house. Peaceful setting.

This was a really nice little house. It has everything you need for a small family and very clean. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the place and enjoyed our stay here. Jim and Pam were very pleasant hosts and very accommodating. There are lots of birds to enjoy and in the evening it was awesome to go outside and see all the fireflys. Peaceful & Serene

I have been renting on VRBO for many years and this property is #1 for clean and immaculate. Many others "think" they are clean, but the attention to detail is just not there. Loved the property location, privacy and peacefulness and plenty of essentials were provided for our time there. Wow, what a great last minute surprise! We stumbled upon this listing because we needed a place to stay at the last minute. What a fantastic find. The owners are so kind and generous. The farm house is really the most lovely place I've stayed with VRBO. The house is immaculate and so comfortable. I'd move in and stay for months if I could afford it! Wonderful All Around

Our whole family loved this property. Jim and Pam were very nice and accommodating. The home was very clean and had everything we may have possibly needed. The home had a beautiful view out the front door. The property was secluded and on a private drive (which we loved), but we were within 10 minutes to restaurants. My husband and I enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch watching the kids play in the backyard. I enjoyed the fresh/clean mountain air. The home is very well maintained inside and out. My husband was very glad the home had a TV with Dish Network so he was able to watch his football game. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back soon!

FAantastic place to ride out a winter storm!

I booked DBF for three nights this January as a Christmas gift to my sister and my mother. We don't get snow more than once a year where we're from, so we were hoping that our short stay would be blessed by at least a little frost--it ended up being the weekend of a powerful winter storm! It was like a dream, being able to hole up in this beautifully restored historic home and watch the snow fall (all day long!). Exactly what we wanted. And Jim and Pam made it that way (aside from the weather, dont believe they have any way to summon snow) with this gorgeous house.I have, by a LONG SHOT, never stayed in a vacation home that is so meticulously maintained and cleaned. It smelled lovely, there were extra linens and pillows with the nice added touches of bows to keep them wrapped, the bathrooms were pristine and beautiful with wall-hung towel warmers and the master shower with the glass door even had a squeegee go get rid of excess water after a wash. Internet worked without a hitch the entire time, and worked well enough for us to stream our favorite movies and shows whenever it was time to come inside from playing in the snow.Jim and Pam, as hosts, were more than fantastic, keeping in regular touch with me via phone and helping me with all of my first-time renter concerns. They were nearby and would share updates on road conditions, checking on us all and making sure we were doing well and having fun. Wonderful people, wonderful home.

A wonderful stay at a ultra clean farmhouse with history

The property was wonderful. It was just what we needed. Very quiet and peaceful. We saw deer each morning grazing in the field by the house. The property is wonderfully located to be just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet, but yet only 15 minutes away from restaurants and stores for convenience. Jim and Pam were wonderful hosts. I enjoyed getting to know them and the history behind the property. It was amazingly clean and had everything we needed to cook any meal. This was our first time visiting this property and the area around Franklin, and my wife and I fell in love with it all.
