Nether Clashnoir, Glenlivet

Nether Clashnoir is a cosy, self-catering cottage set in the heart of the Glenlivet Estate with beautiful mountain views. Sleeping 4 guests across 2 bedrooms, the cottage features a comfortable living room with log burner, well-equipped kitchen, sunroom and private parking with EV charger. Located within the Cairngorms, the cottages makes an ideal base for walking, skiing, mountain biking, wildlife spotting and exploring nearby distilleries. The cottage is set across one floor and has been recently renovated throughout to welcome guests.

On entering Nether Clashnoir, guests are welcomed into our front porch and hallway, which has plenty of space for storing walking boots, coats and any extra bags. Along the hallway is our cosy Living Room, which features a comfortable sofa and armchair next to our logburner. This is a perfect spot for spending cosy evenings in after a day of exploring, with a selection of board games & books, along with a smart TV with freeview channels and access to services such as Netflix and Disney+ to catch up on your favourite shows or films.

Our well-equipped country kitchen has a large table for enjoying breakfast together, and features an electric oven, microwave with airfryer, dishwasher, and plenty of space for cooking and enjoying meals together. Our sunroom is located to the rear of the house, and has a dining table and a pair of comfortable armchairs. The Sunroom is a favourite spot for guests to relax, especially in the evening when the room is flooded with sunlight.

Nether Clashnoir has two bedrooms, and sleeps 4 guests. Our master Bedroom features a comfortable king size bed, while Bedroom 2 has two single beds, making the cottage perfect for families or groups travelling together. Both bedrooms have plenty of space for unpacking items during your stay. Our shower room is accessed from the hallway, and features a large walk in shower with double shower head, toilet and sink. Hotel-quality linens, soft towels and luxury toiletries from Scottish Fine Soaps are provided for all guests.

Nether Clashnoir has a washing machine in the Kitchen, along with an outdoor clothes line and indoor airer for washing clothes during your stay.

The cottage has a private driveway with space for 2-3 cars along with an EV charger available for use. There is an extensive lawn area surrounding the property, with comfortable outdoor seating in the front garden facing the beautiful mountain views. Nether Clashnoir is situated in a Dark Skies location - perfect for evening spent outdoors with cosy blankets and a dram of local whisky while stargazing or catching the Northern Lights. The unique and diverse landscapes surrounding Nether Clashnoir have created excellent conditions for an array of local wildlife that can be seen around the cottage, including red squirrels, red and roe deer, pine marten, grouse, red kites and much more.

The entire property is available for guest use, including the garden. Pets are welcome. EV Charger available.

Nether Clashnoir is located in the heart of the Glenlivet Estate, within the Cairngorms National Park. The area is well known for its whisky distilleries, including the nearby The Glenlivet Distillery, where tours and tastings are available. The surrounding landscape offers extensive opportunities for walking, cycling and mountain biking, from low-level trails to more challenging routes in the Cairngorms, with several Munros accessible within a short drive. Outdoor activities are available year-round, with skiing, snowboarding and winter sports at Lecht Ski Centre approximately 30 minutes away. The location makes a practical base for exploring the wider Speyside region, combining access to outdoor adventures with one of Scotland’s most prominent whisky-producing areas.
