Location was quiet and communication with host was very easy.
Lovely lodge with everything you would need. Many walks just a stone throw away.
We will certainly be back!
We loved the stay at Cragganmore Lodge. It's close to the speyside way with wonderful nature. The house was more than suitable for our family. To explore the surrounding nature it's a perfect starting point.
The lodge is very spacious and well furnished. Everything is available that you need as a self-caterer. The location is well suited as a starting point for exploring Speyside. We felt very comfortable.
Booking and accommodation as it should be (Carlsberg would struggle to do better!).
Great location - accommodation exceeded expectations (spacious & fully equipped), a lovely place to spend a week.
Mention goes out to The Mash Tun, in Aberlour (recently refurbished) - so good we returned twice in the week to eat! Heads-up: book a table in advance.
Wonderful place for nature and cruising around the Highlands. Very convenient for the distilleries and right along River Spey. We really enjoyed walking the trails and trekking around the neighborhood. Howard’s communication with us was top notch. Whole community was very quiet with very friendly and pleasant neighbors.
The trees were in various autumn colours and the birches in particular which were a golden yellow. We had a windless and mild time. The lodge was very comfortable.
Cragganmore Lodge is a real gem and offers everything you need for a family stay in the Highlands. Beautiful location, cosy, clean and plenty of space. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore this part of the world.
We had a wonderful stay at Cragganmore. Howard , the owner was great at communicating with us and the property was so well equipped with lots of board games, dvds and books. The location is stunning, perfect for a morning run along the Speyside way and a wander later with a flask of hot chocolate whilst watching the salmon leaping in the river. We will be back for sure.
Chose this property for it's location on the river Spey and wasn't disappointed!
The lodge exceeded my expectations, was well kept and equipped also very comfortable.
The location was a short walk from both the river Spey and the nearest distillery for a little whiskey tasting. Both the Moray coast and Aviemore a short drive away with a host of activities made for an excellent and memorable break. I will be recommending this to friends and family and will return soon.
A really great place to stay with lots to do within an hours drive. Well equipped and comfortable, and communication with the owner couldn’t be faulted. We would definitely stay here again and at different times of the year.
This is a great place for the family to all be together and still have room to move about there is so much to do the lodge has just about everything for rainy days and a great selection of books for everyone. We will be going back.
We are a group of 8, using the cottage as a base for our annual whisky tour We have just returned from our 3rd visit to the property, as with the previous 2 visits everything ran smoothly.
The property is ideally situated for dozens of distilleries, fishing, hiking and canoeing.
We will be back next year.

This was a cozy and comfortable cabin, perfect for relaxing and for using as a base for discovering the Malt Whisky Trail and outdoor activities. Conveniently located to make easy day trips to Inverness and Aberdeen. Loved having access to Speyside Way for walks. The cabin was nicely provisioned with everything we needed and had plenty of space for our group of 3 adults and 2 older teenagers. The owners were very helpful. It was just what we were looking for!

About the host
Hosted by Howard Perkins
We have lived in Scotland since 1984 and have spent many years climbing mountains all over Scotland. We first started staying in holiday cottages when our daughter was born and wanted a place of our own ever since.
Why they chose this property
The North East was an area that we hadn't visited much. It's only about 3 hours drive from the Central Belt of Scotland and so is easy to get to for weekends, but still far enough for it to be a world away. It is so easy to relax at Cragganmore - it is so peaceful and yet there is still plenty to do and explore. As many of our guests have said - a home away from home!
