The vacation home is in a quiet and fairly secluded location. While you can walk to the beach, it’s recommended to take a bike or a car. The house and garden are very spacious and well-maintained. There’s plenty of room to play Frisbee or badminton, and you can always find a spot in the shade or in the sun—when it’s shining—whichever you prefer. The outdoor shower has hot water, which is very pleasant. What really stands out, however, is the cleanliness: the bathroom, the bedrooms, and especially the kitchen were exceptionally clean. There wasn’t a speck of dust, not even in hidden spots. All the glasses, cups, and plates—even those in the back row—were spotless. The kitchen’s amenities also deserve a special mention, both in terms of appliances and basic ingredients. Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil: everything was there. Plus trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher tablets, freezer bags, aluminum foil, parchment paper—you name it. There was even a bottle of wine waiting in the fridge and ice in the freezer. It was the first time I’d ever baked in a vacation home—with mirabelle plums from the garden! What more could you ask for? It was a great week. I’d love to come back!
