About this property

Chelsea Charm in Historic London Neighbourhood, with all Mod Cons!

Situated in Draycott Place, a charming period street in Old Chelsea which is steps away from Sloane Square and the King's Road. Walking distance to shops of Knightsbridge and the museums of South Kensington this apartment is owned by an interior designer.

The apartment features one master bedroom with a UK King/USA Queen bed (5' x 6' 8") with an ensuite bathroom with a tub (but no shower). There is a second bathroom with a full walk-in shower (but no tub). A second smaller guest room can be made up with either one or two single beds -- though it is tight with two beds (more suitable for kids to share). And, in a pinch, one can also sleep a fifth person on the living room sofa, the base of which is an upholstered mattress -- think of it as a day bed.

There is a very small patio at the rear which is suitable for die hard smokers, but there is no smoking inside the apartment. As the apartment is 'Lower Ground' there are steep narrow British stairs leading to the front door, so all guests must be agile!

The apartment has three TVs, Blu Ray & DVD multi region system, cable, wireless internet and a cosy dining nook off the living room, with a skylight overhead.

The nearest underground line is Sloane Square, but you are also within walking distance of South Kensington station. I prefer to take the number 19 or 22 bus to the Piccadilly Circus if I am headed to the West End -- ride on the top of the iconic double decker red London bus and get a birds eye view of all London has to offer.

Chelsea stay
We had a wonderful stay in Mark's property. It was located in a fantastic area, walking distance to the museums and tube stations for adventures further out. The property was well furnished and perfect for our family of 4. Mark was great with tips and advice and a few little treats for my boys.

Home from home in London
Our experience was fantastic. Not only was the property outstanding, Mark was extremely helpful. The property is a beautiful lower ground unit that comfortably suited our family of four. It’s perfectly situation for exploring the London sights and close to local shops. The property had everything we needed and was home from home. Mark had even left a lovely little treat for the children, which they loved and was such a lovely thought. We can’t recommend this place enough, it was excellent, thanks Mark.

I'm an interior designer based in London for many years but originally from Vancouver, Canada. I appreciate all London has to offer and my apartment in Chelsea is an ideal base close to all the attractions, shopping, restaurants and arts events. I have a wealth of local knowledge so if you have any questions please contact me!

Why they chose this property

I loved the period nature of this property. Looking down the street you can imagine you were in the 1880s. However I extensively (but sympathetically) renovated the interior so that has all the modern amenities one would require.
