Great location. Super convenient to a tube stop for three lines. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby Well equipped kitchen including coffee and tea! Very nice to have washing machine and dryer. Great communication from owner. Very nice stay for us.
This property is in an excellent location for walking and enjoying the best of London. I stayed there with my daughter and could not have been happier with our choice. Though located in Central London, the street was very quiet and peaceful.
The property was in a beautiful neighborhood, close to museums, parks, eateries, shopping and public transportation. It was below ground level but illuminated by skylights, so it was bright and airy. Inside was comfortable and attractive. It was unusually hot in London while we were there, but with the portable fan going we were pretty comfortable anyway. The host was easy to communicate with. The description could have been clearer that the stairs to the front door were pretty steep and narrow - could be an issue for someone with mobility issues, but there was a good railing. There was internet access, but it was spotty at times. Having a washer and dryer was a plus.
We were visiting for my daughter’s graduation and this flat was the perfect place to stay. It was clean, warm and inviting! The location can’t be beat! Centrally located and so close to the tube. It was so nice after a long day to come back to the flat to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The beds are comfortable and the flat size was perfect for our family of four. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment, great area, just a short walk from the tube station, close to Kensington High Street and Brompton Road where there’s great restaurants, pubs and shopping.

Thanks for your lovely review Desmond. Hope to have you stay again.
Everything about this rental was top notch! A well-equipped, clean and cozy flat. The skylights gave us natural light, and host Julie was most helpful and accommodating! The location was convenient with easy access to top attractions, yet letting us feel like local Kensington dwellers. Thanks!
Great location. Close to the subway and store. The flat is a basement and has steep stairs.Furniture and rugs in the bathroom could be updated. Julie communicated quickly with us.
We actually didn’t cook while there but used the microwave to reheat and the fridge to store food. We washed dishes by hand but a dishwasher was available.
Spend 9 days here and it was a spectacular visit. The flat was everything we needed. Having close proximity to museums, parks and transportation only made things better. Truly a gem in the center of the bustle of the big city.

Apartment very dated and worn. Looks like no care is given - dirty carpet, very worn dirty looking cushions on sofa, half dead pot plant, very mouldy blind in bathroom. Kitchen small but well equipped. A cd player with old cds, very out of date guide books. It could be great with some attention.

Thanks for your feedback.
New carpet going in onJanuary 2026 which is when I’m going over to the flat.
Also new blind in bathroom.

Kind regards,

Location, location, location. Perfect place to base yourself to explore London. Lovely and quiet, yet so close to everything. Only five minutes walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station,10 minutes walk to Kensington Gardens and 30 minute walk to Harrods. The unit has everything you need including ability to cook meals if thats what youre after. Would certainly stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Julie
I live in N. Ireland with my husband and have been letting property since 1976. I lived in London before I married so it's always a good excuse to come back when reletting the apartment. I have twin girls of 33 - Claire is married and teaches A level maths. Kate is also married and is a primary school teacher. Prior to this Kate pioneered a charity in Uganda for 5 years sponsoring street children called Tomorow's Heros now renamed Freedom Heroes.
Why they chose this property
I love this property because of the location as it is just so close to everything and has a real buzz to the area. It feels very light and airy. I also still have friends in this area.
What makes this property unique
It is much quieter than most London flats as it's a REAR lower ground floor flat and not underneath the building. That is why it's so light because it is not in the basement as such. This can be seen in the photos.
