Seagrass Cottage - Perfect holiday cottage with parking in Whitstable. Sleeps 6
More than just a holiday let, Seagrass Cottage is a genuine home tucked away in the heart of Whitstable. Comfortably sleeping six, it features something rare: a beautifully private shingle garden designed in true Kentish style. Not overlooked, it is perfect for long lunches and summer evenings outdoors. Whether you spend your days exploring the high street or strolling to the beach in under ten minutes, you can return to enjoy the serenity of your own space both inside and out.
Seagrass Cottage is a charming three-bedroom home ideal for long weekends and slow holidays, equally at home hosting friendship groups, family gatherings, or the kind of multi-generational stay where grandparents and grandchildren end up at the same table. At the heart of the house is an open plan kitchen and dining area that gives everyone room to settle in and be sociable. Spacious enough for a proper family meal, relaxed enough for a slow breakfast that runs into lunch, and just right for a competitive board game that nobody wants to stop. Everything you need is quietly on hand: double oven, full-size dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and a Nespresso machine for the morning ritual.
The sitting room keeps things cosy and uncomplicated — a comfortable retreat after a day on the beach, with a Smart TV for film nights when the sea air has done its work.
Upstairs, three well-considered bedrooms offer a bed for everyone: a large king room, a generous twin that works equally well for adults or children, and a double that looks out over the garden. The recently renovated family bathroom — a good size, with both a separate shower and a full bath, is located on the ground floor.
Outside, the garden is something a little special. Designed in the spirit of Derek Jarman’s celebrated Dungeness garden, it’s a quietly beautiful coastal space of shingle, grasses, and salt-hardy planting — somewhere to take your coffee in the morning or sit out on a warm evening around the outdoor dining table. The cottage also benefits from off-street parking for one car, a welcome luxury in Whitstable, where summer parking is notoriously hard to come by.
Guest has full access to the house during their stay.
We have the local team of Rachel and Spencer from Key Retreats Limited looking after our home and our guests. They are available should you need support.
No big gatherings or parties. No smoking/vaping inside. Out of respect for our neighbours please don`t use the garden after 10:30pm.
We welcome one well behaved dog under 10 KG (please don`t allow him/her upstairs).
Parking is available for one medium sized car in our shared driveway.
