Was. It impressed with outside of house but beautiful inside.
Nicely Appointed, Spacious Accommodation
Extensive renovations are obvious and make the property a comfortable, easy stay. There are nooks and crannies for everyone to spread out from a TV area, to a screened porch, to poolside. A very pleasant surprise in an older, established neighborhood. There are a few turns required to get to the property, but nothing the GPS couldn't handle. Will definitely stay there again, vacancy permitting!
The place was wonderful! Very spacious & comfortable. We really enjoyed this oasis!
The place was filled with high quality items that we were able to use during our stay. The dishes, towels, kitchen items, etc. were all higher end items. The grounds were very nicely landscaped. The check in process was a breeze. Having the pass to the ferry to the private beach was an unexpected bonus. The only 2 very minor issues were the dust bunnies under the beds & the slipperiness of the master bath shower. It was a great place to stay & I highly recommend!
Superb experience!! Will definitely stay here again!
This home is beyond awesome! You can’t even tell you’re in a neighborhood. The landscaping and wooden fencing makes it feel completely secluded. The home itself is large and well planned out with lots of natural light which is always an important feature for me. When you walk in the front door you are greeted with 2 skylights that shine over the kitchen. Beyond that, you can see straight through to the back of the house (which we called the tv room) where there are very large windows that showcase the surrounding landscape. At times it was like the widows weren't even there and it looked like the plants were actually in the house! Really neat effect. There is a lanai off to the side of the tv room and that leads out to the pool. The pool was clean and very well kept and we used it several times a day. There is also an outside shower we used a lot. The pool is not covered and we were originally concerned about mosquitos being a problem but they really weren’t. There were four of us and due to the layout of the home everyone was able to have privacy if desired. There are 3 spacious bedrooms. Master is on one side of the house with a king size bed and bath with shower attached. The other 2 bedrooms, with queen beds, were on the other side of the house and they shared a hallway bathroom. There is a also what we called a siting room at the front of the house. The house is decorated nicely. There is a beachy theme feel to the house but it is very simplistic and sophisticated, but not fussy or over the top.
We were greeted by Angie’s husband, Gary when we arrived as he was at the house fixing a light. He and Angie live across the street and are available when needed. For example, one night one of the fire alarms kept going off. There was no issue other than it needed to be replaced apparently. Gary came and got it and replaced it with a new one the next day. I would say the only negative is that the neighborhood has a mixture of well taken care of properties and not so well taken care of properties. For example, the home to the left had a couple of non working vehicles in their front yard. When you’re at the home though this is not something you notice and this would never stop us from staying here again.
I hesitated a bit to tell you all how great this house is because I kind of want it all to myself! The owners have a really special home here and I’m so gratefull they are willing to share it with others. I can’t wait to stay here again!
Gorgeous foliage surrounded the home. Very clean and comfortable. Well stoked kitchenware.
Really enjoyed our stay! Wonderful library. Highly recommend this property!
OUTSTANDING VACATION HOME!!
This was the place of all places that we have ever stayed at in our over 20 years of coming to Florida! And we have stayed in some nice places!
First: The host Angie was truly exceptional with every detail! And I mean every detail!
Second: The place was truly outstanding! Large open space with all the amenities! Great bedrooms and the beds were super comfortable!
Third and the best was the area landscaping and pool - Truly a feeling of being in a tropical paradise - If you didn't have to go anywhere, beach, etc. you could spend your entire stay in this amazing landscaped property!
Also, everything you'll want to see and do is with 10-20 minutes - The Beaches - Private Beach Ferry - Downtown - The Pier - Fine dining - Shopping, etc.
Recommend highly going to the North Jetty for amazing waves, bird life, dolphin watching and amazing sun set!!
All in all our family of 5 had one of our best holidays ever here in Florida! We are definitely coming back!
The location of this home is ideal as it is located in a quiet community with several Venice beaches from 1mile - 5 miles; the closet being our neighborhood private beach. A ten minute drive onto the island of Venice puts you in historic downtown to stroll among the variety of small-town shops and restaurants. Beyond downtown are additional beaches and gulf coast parks for sun and relaxation.

Within two miles there is Walmart Super center, Target, Publix supermarket, shopping, coffee shops, nail and beauty shops, as well as several restaurants.

A short 10 mile drive into North Port is Warm Mineral Springs which has just reopened April 12 2014 for Swimming. This is Florida’s only naturally formed warm mineral springs with a constant temperature of 87 degrees. These waters provide soothing comfort that has been enjoyed for generations.
Thirty-five minutes north in neighboring Sarasota is home to Mote Marine Aquarium. Explore marine life and see some of these gentle creatures up close.
Big Cat Habitat and Sanctuary is also located nearby and is a non-profit safe haven for big cats, bears, and other animals in need.
Tampa is one hour north which offers amusement parks, a zoo, and aquarium.
Orlando is a two hour drive to the home of Micky Mouse; Disney World, Sea World, water parks, and Universal Studios.
