LOUNGE: Air conditioning, Two sofas, TV, Video Player, DVD Player, CD Player/Radio. UK IPTV Streaming TV, European Satellite TV, Spanish TV, Log burning fire (Winter use) and hot/cold air con. Many books, games, toys, tourist information, many maps of local areas, dictionary, phrase book, menus and information, magazines about the area.
BEDROOM 1: Air conditioning, Double bed (Size135), dressing table, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Extra Fan, Bedroom leads to:

All bed linen and bath towels and beach towels included. All bedding for cots provided. Tea towels, cloths, dishwasher tabs, cleaning equipment, washing up liquid, hand soaps, etc.
OUTSIDE: Secure parking for car, Stone BBQ, Table and chairs for 6, shaded dining area under gazebo on raised patio, sunloungers, safe play for children (lockable gate to pool and terrace area).
The private and secluded swimming pool is fully tiled and approximately 8m x 4m with plenty of space for swimming and enjoying a cooling dip in the summer months. The deep end of the pool is 2.6m with a diving board. There are built-in steps at one end and also an outside shower. The pool is set in a tiled (non-slip) terrace and offers privacy as it has walls on all sides. This makes it a regular sun trap and protected from the wind. The pool/terrace area has many sunbeds. Extra tables and chairs are provided under the shady porch area. Outside safety plugs so you can use your laptops and mobile phones! WiFi available around the pool. Non-breakable safety plates and cups/glasses are all provided for your snacks and drinks to be taken at poolside.
The pool also has lights and can be used for that evening swim. Lights also fitted to terrace and porch area.
Flotation aids, swim rings and armbands are all provided for the children to use free of charge. Also parasols provided for beach, buckets, spades, etc.

Wonderful welcome, very well equipped clean and comfortable property and such a lovely pool. Local beaches were amazing. Seville, Ronda and Jerez all within manageable distances and Cadiz was my favourite. Many thanks Mandy for all your recommendations.

Welcoming stay and amazing, clean beaches just a short drive away.

We enjoyed our stay at Mandy's place. Firstly, we received a warm welcome from Mandy herself and she was very helpful in leaving a well stocked welcome pack, which she had catered to our needs! She also left us a homegrown watermelon that was delicious and lasted us for days! Must say having a closed off area for the pool was a real bonus - especially with young children, once the door was closed there was no worry of them being anywhere near the pool! Villa was comfortable, had loads of toys and games to entertain all ages. Just what you need for a family holiday. The Venta Florentina restaurant was lovely and such an easy walk to visit there in the afternoon or evenings. Beaches are just a short drive away and Mandy had left umbrellas, body boards, buckets and spades so you are well equipped for the family trip to the beach. A car is necessary though.

We had a lovely time as a family of five. Three children ages. 11,13 and 15. We flew in to Jerez and the villa is a relatively short drive just over 30 mins. We called Mandy when we were about 10 mins away and she gave us clear directions to the villa and met us there. The villa was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with useful equipment. It was great to have use of pool towels, saves on the baggage allowance. With teenage children it’s a necessity to have good Wi-fi. The Wi-fi in the villa was really good. The pool was amazing, kids loved the diving board and the various pool toys supplied. There is a restaurant 2 mins walk from the villa, which serves lovely food. We had a lovely mix of visiting the nearby beaches and towns with lazy days by the pool and BBQ in the evenings. We loved Jerez and Cadiz. Cádiz is an amazing town and a visit to the fish market is a must, even if you don’t buy. We particularly loved Peurto Santa de Maria - very clean, with lots of showers and toilets. The beach chairs and buckets and spades were a huge hit. We also visited Barrosa beach and had an evening there. In short an amazing holiday and the villa makes a good base for exploring costa de la Luz. Or having wonderful Lazy days. Thank you Mandy.

The villa was very quiet and peaceful. Lovely large pool and plenty of sun loungers and shaded veranda for those who wanted to stay out of the sun. The surrounding area was mainly farming land and housing - no village to speak of. There were a few restaurants and bars within walking distance - the most local restaurant (just a couple of minutes walk) had really good and inexpensive food and a good atmosphere. The area surrounding the villa was unfortunately quite scruffy - big refuse bins at the end of the road and lots of rubbish surrounding the immediate area. This in no way detracted from the villa when you were inside the walled area of the villa and pool. The villa itself was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. I would suggest to Mandy (the owner) that she invests in some new towels and bedding. The towels and bedding supplied were clean but definately past their best - nice towels and bedding make a huge difference to your comfort when you are on holiday. Mandy was a great host - we arrived late at night so she had got some basics in for us for the following morning. She gave us useful information about the area and was there if we needed her. Although she lives in the villa next door we did not see her unless we needed something. She was extremely considerate to her guests. You certainly need a car if you are staying at this villa - the beach area is about a twenty minute drive away and the supermarkets are a good 15 min drive away. There are some interesting places to visit within easy driving distance - Cadiz (the old town in well worth a visit), Vejer- again well worth a visit. For the evenings we enjoyed going to Conil de la Frontera - a very spanish seaside resort about 15 mins drive away. It had a lovely atmosphere on an evening - busy with a real buzz about it. Loads of restaurants and bars to choose from on the narrow streets - well worth a visit. We flew into Seville and it was an easy drive down to Chiclana - about 1 1/2 hours. Overall we had a really good week with the weather being extremely kind to us.

Hemos estado durante 1 semana en la casa, 2 adultos y 2 adolescentes más nuestra perrita, y ha sido mejor de lo previsto. La casa está limpia, perfecta, y tiene todo lo que se puede pedir. Hemos estado en Casa Mariposas la última semana de junio. La casa tal y como pone el anuncio, amplia, muy limpia y con todo lo necesario. La parte de la piscina espectacular!!! Agradecemos a Mandy toda la atención que nos ha dado durante nuestra estancia. La limpieza de la casa y todas las necesidades para nuestro bebé. La piscina un lujazo. Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa. Por comentar algo, nos hubiera gustado que la piscina tuviera una parte con menos altura para poder hacer pie las personas que miden menos de 160cm pero es algo que no se puede cambiar y el área donde está el chalet le falta un poco de limpieza por parte del ayuntamiento porque a dos calles están los contenedores de basura y se pueden ver papeles y plásticos por las calles cercanas procedentes de las bolsas del contenedor.

Semana fantástica

Hemos estado en casa de Mandy una semana y ha sido un acierto total. La casa, sencilla y cómoda, no le falta detalle. La zona de la piscina, espectacular, la hemos disfrutado muchísimo. Además, queda cerca de muchas zonas que merece la pena visitar, imposible aburrirse. Mandy se ha portado fenomenal con nosotros y ha hecho que nos sintiéramos como en casa. Muchas gracias!

I have lived in Spain for over 23 years. My family are all grown up and live in the UK. I am from Hertfordshire originally and also lived in Norfolk for 7 years. I have had a varied work career, being a PA to Managers and Director at BAe in the microelectronics department, worked in pharmaceuticals in the Export Department with Smith Kline and French, special needs childminder (when my three children were small), worked as an assistant to a chartered surveyor and estate agent.... having worked in a service industry background I have more of an awareness of what people want and expect from a good quality holiday rental villa.

Why they chose this property

I love this area, very Spanish and quieter than the Costa del Sol. There is a lot to see and do and everyday is different. The food and climate are wonderful. We are in a very central location for visits to Jerez, Vejer, Cadiz, Puerto Santa Maria, Medina Sidonia, Canos de Meca, Conil, Tarifa, Gibraltar. We are in a small village but only 5 minutes from Chiclana town with its markets, cafes and town squares with many churches to explore.

What makes this property unique

The villa's location in a quiet residential street, within walking distance to bars and restaurants, all on tarmac roads, unlike many other villas in the area which are situated a long way down unmade roads. The large kitchen and open plan, bright airy lounge, air conditioning to the lounge and bedrooms for Summer and log fire for supplementary heating in the colder months make staying in the luxury well-equipped villa a pleasant home from home experience. Beach is only 12-15 minutes drive away with ample parking and loads of facilities. Owner on hand to provide help where necessary, hospital/clinic trips, help with translations and where to go and what to do!
