About the host
Hosted by Chris Cairns
The property was previously listed with Vrbo for 3 years until the Autumn of 2024. I very much enjoyed hosting the property and achieved Premier Host status.
Guests from around the world booked the property, which was popular with family groups celebrating special occasions, friends and families getting together for holidays, foreign guests exploring the Scottish Highlands, fishing groups for trout on salmon on the local rivers including the River Findhorn and River Spey, snow boarders and skiers using the facilities on Cairngorm Mountain. One couple used the property as a base for their wedding and hired The Strathdearn Hub for the ceremony and celebration.
The listing was paused at the end of 2024 but has now been reinstated as there was building work being carried out on the former garage to create an Annexe. This work is nearing completion with the final internal finishing work currently being carried out when there are no guest bookings in the main house. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2026.
