For shops, cafes and a touch of history, Cockermouth (10 miles) offers Georgian streets, independent stores and a great selection of places to eat. Keswick (13.5 miles) is a hub for outdoor activities. Here you can explore Derwentwater, browse the bustling market, visit the Theatre by the Lake or set off on walking routes for all abilities.
