About this property

3 Bed in Port William (oc-w36919)

Located in West Barr Holiday Park on the shores and boasting sea views, this charming farmhouse offers the perfect base for families and groups of friends exploring this stunning region of Southern Scotland. Just metres from the water, this scenic location offers doorstep access to coastal hot spots and seaside walks – starting with a visit to nearby Port William (2 miles). This popular village features a vibrant harbour, walking trails and plenty of local wildlife, as well as a good choice of local shops and places to eat and drink. More Scottish nature can be enjoyed at Monreith Bay (4 miles), home to seal spotting and rock pooling, as well as the wider landscapes of the Machars Peninsula. Dive into the region's history with visits to Barsalloch Fort (4 miles), the royal burgh of Whithorn (10 miles), and the ruins of Glenluce Abbey (13 miles). Keen golfers will always remember a round at St Medan Golf Club (5.5 miles).

Before stepping inside, take a moment to admire the property's commanding views over the water – setting the scene for a memorable coastal stay. Enter the farmhouse, kick off your walking boots in the hallway, then walk through to the charming kitchen/diner. This spacious and well-appointed room boasts everything needed for cooking up Scottish feasts before gathering at the wooden table to plan tomorrow's adventures over dinner. From here, double wooden doors open into the light-filled lounge, where wall-to-wall windows frame sea views and flood the room with natural light. Unwind in here after days spent outdoors; sink into the soft furnishings and find your favourite shows on the Smart TV. For more relaxation, a cosy separate snug offers space for the group to spread out, while a utility area with a washing machine takes care of any holiday laundry. At the end of each day away, retire to a choice of three restful super-king-size bedrooms. The first bedroom awaits on the ground floor and is served by a stylish wet room, while the two bedrooms upstairs make use of a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Step outside and make use of the private seating area that provides views across the water and a splendid spot to enjoy scenic morning coffees and evening tipples. Guests will also benefit from off-street parking for three cars.
