Beautiful log home on quiet spring fed motor-less lake only 15 minutes from Glacier Park. Listen to the loons calling &enjoy this ideal place for peaceful family time. With National forest as our neighbor to the left, you can enjoy natural solitude. Swim, fish, &paddle in the pristine Spoon lake, just steps from our door. Hiking & mountain biking trails just down the road connect to amazing multi-use trails at Canyon Creek. We have a full gourmet kitchen, cozy fireplace, a game-room indoors. Outside there’s a picnic area, fire pit, adirondack chairs & a lake with private dock for you to swim & fish from. The ideal place for a peaceful family vacation in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Due to insurance restrictions, we are not able to provide watercraft, but you can bring your own or rent from one of the many local shops- they even deliver & pick up!

This cabin is spotless. Has so many extras available to make a very comfortable stay. Lots of room to spread out and just enjoy this Montana area. Out of 14 VRBO’s we stayed at in the last 7 years, this one has been the best.

If you are.looking for a beautiful, comfortable stay than this is it. Did not want to leave, and an added plus was dealing with the host which was so easy and covered everything, she was wonderful.

On Golden Pond

This was a wonderful place to stay to get away. It was like the movie On Golden Pond - very peaceful. The cabin was well stock with everything that you would want and more!

Rejuvenating

The cabin provides a great afternoon and evening hangout. The perfect ending for long hikes and rafting days. We rejuvenated in the cool (cold) waters of the lake and enjoyed the fire pit into the night.

Loved Our Stay! Beautiful Home

We enjoyed the home so much. It worked very well for our friends and family. We had an 18 month old which we spoke to Elise about. The home was very well stocked for cooking meals. We loved it so much, we talked about coming back before we even left. Great communication! We had such a great time, great location and lots to do at the house. We will be back! Thank you for creating such an enjoyable place to stay.

The location is perfect. A short drive to Columbia Falls, Whitefish, or the West Glacier entrance. The lake is peaceful and quiet. The house is impeccably stocked and organized. The owners were very easy to work with and easily available by text or phone. My only complaint is that we only booked a week! The pictures do not do this place justice. Highly recommend!

1st GNP trip

Cabin on a beautiful and quiet lake. It was perfectly located with short drives to GNP. Kalispell, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls. The Cabin provided everything we needed plus more. Elise was a pleasure to work with us and kept in close contact. Even when a storm was forecasted to hit the area, Elise proactively kept in contact to make sure we new lanterns and batteries were available if power went out. Definitely would book this place again if we ever return to GNP.

Beautiful

My wife and I wanted to see Glacier NP, I can’t think of a better home base for our excursions. It was so nice that we made time to just be at the cabin. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to exist in a Bob Ross painting? If so this is the place! There was more than enough room for the my wife and myself, I thought it was more spacious than the pictures let on. Clean, with a very nice kitchen with everything you need(except food obviously). The loons put a perfect bow on the whole thing. Would love to come back!

Beautiful Property and Location

My husband and I spent a week at this lovely lakefront mountain home and loved it. The views of the lake and national forest were beautiful, the kitchen well stocked with spices, plenty of towels and other necessities. There are several comfortable separate sitting areas inside and outside, a nice fire pit area, dock with chairs to watch the sunset. The location to the west entrance to Glacier National Park was perfect, although the construction on Going to the Sun road was a challenge. Columbia Falls and Whitefish were relatively close for other activities. Elise was very communicative and available if needed. We’ve rented many properties over the years and this is one of the best and our favorites with the views and the stocked amenities. We will definitely stay here again if we make our way back to Montana.

Breathtaking views from exceptional home

Our family of 5 which is made up of us parents in our mid 50s and our 3 young adult children had an amazing time at spoon lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one needs. The home is spacious, comfortable,and cozy. The front and back decks have plenty of comfortable furniture to enjoy the gorgeous views. We also enjoyed listening to loon calls at night.we also enjoyed seeing them glide on Spoon Lake during the day. Access to the lake is a quick and easy. We enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the dock as our daughter fished off the dock. The grounds are beautiful with native flowers blooming all around. We also enjoyed making s'mores one evening using the fire pit, which like the rest of the property has ample seating with views of spoon lake.The home is very close to Glacier National Park as well as the town of Colombia Falls. We had an exceptional Montana vacation experience. The owners were quick to communicate and answer questions. We would highly recommend this home.

Everything was as described. House was clean, comfortable & very well stocked. Elise contacted me by phone before our arrival to go over details which was nice, I've never had an owner do that before. The location was great; convenient to airport & GNP.

Home away from home

This is an amazing home / cabin we all loved our stay. Everything that you can think or need was there, only thing missing the pool sticks or cue. For our stay we would have preferred to have come earlier in the month, most things to do closed sept 30. That was out of our control because we were attending a wedding. For a total relaxation like fishing, site seing or hiking is OK

Spectacular week long trip

We stayed at the cabin for a week late September - early October. The cabin is so amazing, and was fully suited for our stay. We spent a lot of time on the doc, enjoying the views and serinity of the lake. The proximity to everything the area has to offer is great, and still feels like you are away from it all. Elise was fantastic and very accommodating. We had no issues at all and would highly recommend this cabin for your stay. We look forward to coming back and staying again!

Wonderful Experience

This property as well as the owners were wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We had several questions and Elise responded immediately. The flowers and thank you note was a great touch. The house is extremely comfortable and well stocked. We loved just sitting by the fireplace and viewing the lake, or being on the dock fishing. The location is perfect for visits to GNP yet far enough away to enjoy some R&R. I HIGHLY recommend this property as well as working with Elise! It was a perfect stay and we hope to return in the future.

One of the best rentals we’ve stayed in!

We stayed at this cabin the first week of August. My husband and my two children, 14 and 12. The cabin was more wonderful in person than pictures! Everything about it was absolutely perfect! Elise was precious and so incredible helpful to us! If having an accomadting host is important, you won’t be disappointed! The views from the porch and the deck are amazing!!!! We loved playing board games on the porch outside. We were even able to find some huckleberries on the path down to the lake! A lot of good restaurants and hikes in the area- all of Elise’s recommendations were spot on! If we come back to Glacier, we will stay here again!

THIS IS THE ONE!

Not sure it’s possible to quickly summarize how amazing our experience was at this beautiful cabin on Spoon Lake. The homeowner Elise makes you feel like family. There was an unprecedented heat wave the week we were there, so Elise made sure window A/C units were installed so we’d be cool and comfortable & checked on us several times. The A/C units worked perfectly. The house itself & location are perfect for visiting Glacier NP, Columbia Falls, Whitefish & more. One morning, my daughter and I took the canoe out and spotted a mama moose & her calf on the backside of Spoon Lake. We sat and watched them for 30 minutes. The loons are also incredible to watch. The house is well stocked with everything you’ll need. We grilled steaks one night & roasted hot dogs & s’mores another. It is truly a magical place. We spent hours just enjoying the view. You will not want to leave. Thank you Elise for sharing this slice of heaven with us. We can’t wait to come back! Amy B.

Fantastic Host, Beautiful Setting

This setting was unbelievable and Elise was hands down the best host I’ve ever had. Almost immediately responsive and was even helpful with her list of favorite things in the area. Our kids loved staying in a true log cabin, and loved even more getting to ride the canoe around the lake. The house had every single thing we could have needed - probably the best stocked place we’ve ever stayed - down to binoculars and life jackets. If you are considering visiting Glacier National, I found this place to be the most central. It’s on the road to Polebridge (Northern Entrance) and only 22 min from West Glacier entrance. Easy to find great eating in Columbia Falls as well as a short jump over to Whitefish (about 20 min). Overall, we loved our stay and this location.
