Your dog is welcome too and there is a back deck with access to the walking path, and a fenced side yard for privacy.

Cancellation Policy: 1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).
Occupancy Note: Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

Very nice, spacious, and clean home. Plus, the location can't be beat, right up against the dunes, great paths through the neighborhood for walking, and a short beach walk to Pelican brewery.
Kiwanda Coastal Properties is great at communicating with renters. They keep you apprised of everything going on regarding your stay. They send info on local attractions and restaurants and make everything so easy. Check in and out is a breeze.This is our 2nd stay at this house. We really love it. The house is well appointed, very comfortable and they have bikes, sand toys for the kiddos, etc.We love the location and it works for us. One caveat, If you have highly reactive dogs, this may not be a good location. The back of the house backs up to the path to the dune ramp-super convenient to go to the beach but there can be a lot of traffic. This is the only downside that we’ve encountered. The location is quiet at night and very family friendly.
The cottage is adorable and perfectly located. It was clean, well appointed and quiet!! It is on the other side of a sand dune from the beach but there is a paved path leading to a ramp up to the top of the sand dune. You can either walk along the beach to the pub, coffee house or market or you can take the paved path to these locations. Either way. It's less than 10 minutes to get there.
Also, Kiwanda Coastal Properties is very easy to work with and checked in with us the day after we checked in to make sure all was well.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Hard to beat location and well appointed. Kiwanda Coastal Properties could not have been easier to work with- Craig even loaned us his personal coffee grinder when we notified him the rental's was broken!
This is a very nice two story property with upstairs bedrooms that is behind a sand dune. The beach is on the other side of the sand dune and is easily reached via a paved pathway and then over a wooden bridge. The top of the dune provides excellent views of the ocean and has nice benches you can sit and just listen to the surf.
There is a nice brew pub just up the pathway with excellent views of the beach and surf. Food was good as was the beer.
The home is well equipped and the two car garage will fit my 2021 Tahoe. You just cannot open the back of the Tahoe with the doors closed.
Landscaping is nice with plenty of trees. If you are a cut grass nut, you will not appreciate the sea grasses as they are not trimmed. Lots of birds. Homes are very close, but it is well laid out. This time of year (April) it is fairly quiet and we had sun all week with nightly rain. May be noisier during the summer months. Lincoln City is a short 30 minutes away if you want more choices for food or stores. Casino was very good in both of their high end restaurants.
Some minor issues, but most were easily fixed on our part and the rest we gave to management to fix after our visit as it did not inconvenience us. All in all, a wonderful stay that am would recommend and will be back to.
Received message on day before arrival that fireplace was not working. Upon arrival we found the front bedroom offered no privacy while dressing or sleeping because the blinds were broken, inoperable, and in open position (except for one sagging corner). In addition, the boardwalk needed for beach access was “closed for inspection and repair”.
Reported to office manager a few things that did not work so well. —- (1) refrigerator was leaking water on food, (2) upstairs bathtub stopper would not hold water, (3) master bath toilets pocket door would not close, (4) could not use one of the stuffed chairs in family room because of a broken leg.

Great location and overall nice property
Overall - I loved the location of this property. It is a 2 min walk up and over the dune using the ramp to get to the beach as well as it’s a 10 minute walk down the beach or along the road to the Pelican Brewing and other associated shops which is wildly convenient.
Overall had a great, albeit short stay (2 nights) with a few minor gripes:
- when we entered the unit the kitchen was eminating a pretty terrible smell. We tracked it down to the garbage disposal and were able to clear it up but it certainly wasn’t the most pleasant thing to have to do right out of the gate. I would say make sure the cleaning crew adequately cleans the sink/garbage disposal.
- I understand not providing certain items, but there wasn’t even a single paper towel roll. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to stock the place with 1 paper towel roll since there is a full kitchen.
- I think the key pick up/drop off situation could be made way easier with a simple lock box at the front door. Would eliminate trips to the office and/or quell any uncertainty about getting the keys if you are checking in after business hours of the office
In any case, it was a cute, mostly clean, great location property. Would definitely stay again despite the gripes mentioned above
We enjoyed staying here. The walk to the beach was short. The rooms are spacious. Everything you need is in the home. We loved the dog run to let our pups out and not worry about them running away. Very quiet neighborhood and kind neighbors. Will book again.
We loved our time at the Gull's Nest. The house was plenty big for our family of four (the children loved having their own huge rooms, and the desk in one of the bedrooms was very helpful with distance learning). Couldn't ask for a better location, just steps from beach access (hiking back up the dune is a great workout) and five minutes from Pelican and a wonderful coffee shop. The internet connection was strong enough for all four of us to be on devices as we worked and schooled remotely with no issues. Will definitely stay here again.
Everything was in great shape and as expected from the listing. Could walk to the beach, shops, food all within 5 minutes. Had a great time with 6 people.
Great house! The dunes are a bit steep there. The garage door opener did not work. The house was clean and had all the essentials. We had a wonderful vacation.
