2 bedroom, newly renovated cottage located on beautiful lake Tsala Apopka in Floral City on the west coast of Florida. Just blocks from the Withlacoochee State Trail for biking and walking. Orlando and Tampa are just an hour away. 20 minutes from Crystal River for delicious seafood restaurants and marinas also swimming with the manatees and scalloping (in season). Docking available for your boat. Lots of local festivals and activities. This is a natural, unspoiled location where you can find peace and tranquility. Relax under the shade of the cypress and oak trees. 20 steps from the back door of this beautiful cottage you can be fishing on the lake. Note: This is a no smoking cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this lake front property. It was perfect for us with immediate access to the lake and to the Withlacoochee State Rail Trail. We were able to keep our kayaks a few feet from the lake shore with an awesome, sandy launch site. And we could bike to the rail trail in a few minutes. The cottage was very vintage and very comfortable. We ate most of our meals on the sun porch with its storm windows and screens, looking over the lake. Our queen sized bed was very comfortable. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room were a nice touch. The heating systems and air conditioning both worked very well too. The kitchen had most of the dishes, pans and utensils we needed. There were also two gravity recliners for relaxing outside. Our host was also very easy to work with. We appreciated his suggestions regarding the lake. We plan to return.

Actions speak louder than words

Terry requires a one month minimum stay, so this is not a small investment of time or money. We have stayed with him before, we stayed with his this year, and we are already booked to stay with him next year.

Cozy, Comfortable, Close to Lake and Trail

This is a cozy diamond in the rough. It can easily and comfortably accommodate a family of 3 or 4. It is in a wonderful location, just a few feet to the Tsala-Apopka chain of lakes and only 1/4 mile to the 47-mile Withlacootchee bike trail (paved) and beautiful Old Floral City Road. Best of all the hosts, Terry and Honey Carr, are top notch. We have traveled widely staying in HomeAway rentals and have never had more accommodating hosts. They live close by and were immediate in their response to the slightest problems, yet were never intrusive. You will be pleased to have met them.

A wonderful lakefront cottage

This is a wonderful cottage only a few feet from the water. We enjoyed watching limpkins, herons, and ibis most every day. The cottage is very comfortable and the owner is attentive to any issues.

Just what we needed

Quiet, comfortable, relaxing and the view of the lake is great!! All the things we needed after a very long drive. The owners are convient if needed, room to park, we even had space to park a boat, all the kitchen and linen essentials. Walking distance to extensive bike/walking trail. Would highly recommend!!!!

Fabulous Sunrise over the Lake

Our friendly hosts made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Relaxing waterfront location and only a short walk to the 46 mile long paved Withlacoochee Trail for those who want to walk or bike. Close to Inverness where we found places to take water aerobics classes and play pickleball. Plenty of shopping and good restaurants in the area. Great place to stay!

Ideal Place to Snow Bird

The property is ideal for a “snow bird” winter. The location is good for warm weather, convenient for “things to do”, safe for visitors, and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We were treated well, would stay again, and would recommend to others.
