This is a newly renovated home ready for your visit. It consists of a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house with lock-off capability.

Level one contains 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, full kitchen, dining room, living room, with sliders opening out to the lake level. (It is down a flight of stairs from the parking area.)

Level two contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, great room (dining area and living area), on the same level as the parking area.

Both levels have fantastic views of Highland Lake facing West for fantastic sunsets.

Amazing lake home

Wonderful lakeside home

Lovely home with all the amenities. The kitchen is one of the best we have found in a rental home-well stocked and perfect for a graduation celebration. It is a quiet retreat but close to grocery store. The lake is lovely. Highly recommend.

Fishing for stripers

We stayed 4 nights while fishing the Yarmouth flats for striped bass, 3 family adults & 1 friend. The house and property were spectacular - spacious, beautifully appointed, quiet, splendid views, and spotlessly clean. The main kitchen is amazing in size, appointments, and every appliance possible. We hope to return.

Breathtaking . . . Just No Words to Describe!

My husband and I, who are originally from the North and now living in Florida, came up for the foliage and to see family in the area. There are no words to describe how relaxing and enjoyable it was staying at the Lakehouse. The views were spectacular, the weather was perfect and it was the perfect place to de-stress. It felt like home and Neil was so accommodating, he made our stay even better. The house was well maintained and so clean, even my husband who is a clean freak, was impressed. What can I say . . . We didn't want to go back home. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home in Paradise with us. And, we will definitely be back 😊

Class of ‘68 annual girls get-away

The lake house was superb in every way. It was situated in an ideal location—secluded enough to enjoy the tranquility of Highland Lake, yet close enough for my West Coast friends and former classmates to explore the attractions of neighboring Portland and beyond. Eight of us shared a memorable week in this delightful home away from home. The Simonsons provided everything we could possibly need, from a well-stocked kitchen to an abundance of fresh towels and linens, games, and tv. I had to twist some arms to get the girls to travel the 3,000 miles plus from California and Washington state to visit Maine, but I’ll have no trouble at all convincing them to come back. Perfect Lake House

This home was perfect for us. We all had fun playing games, swimming, and even fishing (got 5 and my son got one :) on the last day. We loved just hanging out here. My partially immobile dad thoroughly enjoyed himself and was able to get about very nicely upstairs. He grew up enjoying summers on Canandaigua Lake in upstate New York (where I was also able to enjoy lake life with my sister and cousins as a little boy). This beautiful place allowed us to fall right back into our family summer time rhythm, this time with our own kids and their significant others. We all could not appreciate this wonderful home any more than we do now. It is now filled with many of our own indelible memories! We could not have enjoyed ourselves more thoroughly and completely. I can't recommend this lake home highly enough!

Amazing home and area

This is the second time that we have stayed at this home in Maine. It is absolutely beautiful, with every amenity and spectacular views. The owner and his brother who oversees the property in the fall and winter are both kind, helpful and wonderful people. I do not have one complaint. I wish I could spend the summer there but alas I can't afford it.

Owner Pete and his property mgr are friendly and easy to work with. The home is fully equipped for anything you might need, and there is a lot of space! It is conveniently located about 20 min from Portland or the Sebago region, and 40 mon from Freeport. We loved our week, and hope to be back again! Kathy Jesson

Peaceful Place

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs of this property; we were visiting Maine for our son's graduation from UNECOM. It was the perfect place. My husband and I stayed in the master downstairs and the "kids" (all adults) stayed in the two bedrooms upstairs. The home is very sound proof - my husband was up first and watched TV downstairs in the living room right next to the master bedroom - I could not even hear the TV! We could stay downstairs while the kids slept so we did not disturb them. In the evening, the upstairs had plenty of seating for the six of us. I loved all the windows and being on the water. It was very peaceful. We did not do much cooking, but the upstairs kitchen was well stocked. I did miss my Keurig and had to remember how to make coffee in a regular coffee pot (first-world problems!). The owner and property manager were very easy to work with. I am not sure we will be back to the Portland area, but if we are, I would not hesitate to stay at this property.

Beautiful, peaceful lake home - perfect quiet getaway!

Beautiful, comfortable home with deck looking out over lake. We were there in early October, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The home was clean and had all the comforts of home. If you rent the entire property, you get two full kitchens (one up, one down) two and 1/2 baths and four bedrooms, with wood burning fireplaces and washer/dryer on both floors. This was a perfect place for us and one other couple, and it would also be nice for two families that are vacationing together -- you can each have your own space, but still be on the same property. All in all, an excellent experience and we'd stay there again!

This property has amazing views in a quiet, serene setting. The home is very clean with a seamless check in process. The property booklet is very thorough with all instructions. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to feed a large group, as well as any gadget necessary for the preparation. The property is comfortable and welcoming,, and I would highly recommend it!
