About this property

Duo-Loft in a historic building in Aix old town, with aircon, enhanced cleaning

The Duo-Loft, an apartment in a historic private building (hotel particulier in French) dating from early 15th century is in Aix's old historic town. It stands in the Archevêché quarter (Festival d'Aix), just a few steps away from the Cathedral, Place des Cardeurs and Hôtel de Ville. A peaceful haven in a lively bourough of old Aix. Aircondition unit available for warmer days.

A STUDIO-LOFT, PEACEFUL & BRIGHT TO APPRECIATE THE SUNNY PROVENCAL WEATHER...
This beautiful one-bedroom loft of 36 square meters is found in a tiny quiet street in the heart of Aix's elegant old historic town. It stands on the 1st floor (bedroom in a loft or mezzanine) of a private historic mansion dating from early 15th century, reconstructed in early 17th century. King Louis XIIIth has spent an evening here in November 1622 as an honourable guest of the Borrilli family. This mansion is called Hôtel Borrilli. It is one of the oldest still-standing buildings in Aix and is listed as one of France's protected historical monuments.

ALL DESIGNED TO MAKE YOUR STAY IN AIX LIKE YOU'RE IN YOUR SECOND HOME...
Duo-Loft is fully managed by myself as the owner. I observe strict cleaning and disinfection of the place and all surfaces, floors and objects. The 2 big windows are left open to change air after each guest check-out and during the cleaning process.
Aircondition unit added in Sept. 2017 for warmer days, Duo-Loft was completely renovated in neutral colors of white and taupe grey, with modern contemporary design and using some natural materials, this apartment has been designed to provide maximum comfort to highly demanding people who wish to stay in a perfect central location: a light-filled living & dining room with TV ADSL with more than 100 channels, free Wifi, bamboo parquet floor, modern but comfortable furnitures & fixtures, a small but fully-equipped kitchen, a very cosy mezzannine with a standard double bed and a modern ensuite toilet & bath, as well as books & travel brochures on Aix-en-Provence and the Provence region. *NOTE: Ancient architecture with low ceilings in original wooden beams with maximum height of 1meter85 in some areas - entry, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom in the mezzanine. From its large windows, you can enjoy peace & quiet as the apartment is on top of a private courtyard with lush beautiful tall trees & flowers, a pure rare luxury when you are in the old town of Aix.

THE DUO-LOFT IS JUST A FEW STEPS AWAY FROM ALL YOU MAY NEED FOR AN ENJOYABLE MEMORABLE HOLIDAY...
Restaurants, cafés, boutiques, muséums, cathedral, groceries, convenient stores, open-air markets - all within short walking distance. You can buy seasonal fresh fruits & vegetables in the market each morning and in the afternoon head for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or light snacks in the Place d'Hotel de Ville and Forum des Cardeurs, of course al fresco to fully enjoy the pleasant Provencal weather, its vibrant people and live like them.
