Beautiful mountain retreat for a group of friends to get together with great views & nestled at the end of a road! The kitchen was well equipped and home very clean. The host responded quickly, check-in & out went seamlessly.
Cabin was absolutely perfect for our 4 generational family of 8. We were attending a wedding at The Whote Crow. It was a 5-10 min. away. We would definitely stay again when in the area!
Great location, clean property, Enjoyed large family table. Only suggestion is to add solar lights around walkway coming from foot side. Otherwise wonderful all around for our group for App State Graduation!
The house worked out perfectly for a family gathering for a local wedding.

We had a group of family members stay for the weekend to attend the App State winter graduation. The house was beautiful and made a perfect setting.

Beautiful piece of property with a great view. Cabin was very comfortable and had sleds in the shed for sliding down the hills on site. Kids had a blast.

Very lovely weekend
Camelot is a great place for peace and quiet. Home is extremely pleasing and well furnished. Housekeeping did a wonderful job in readying the home for guests. And it certainly appeared sanitized.
Thanks for a great weekend!
Very close to the White Crow wedding venue where my daughter got married. Beautiful property for pictures and nice layout of the house for separation and comfort.

Very nice cabin, great location and neighborhood.
Overall we had a great experience but the cabin is very dirty, dusty. We stayed at many others cabin in the past but this one is so dirty with spider webs on the ceiling, the oven is so gross that we weren’t able to use it , same with the washing machine.

Hi Veronica, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have alerted our Executive Housekeeper as to your comments regarding the cleaning and areas we can improve. Again thank you for leaving a review and our sincerest apologies for those issues.
Loved the location the size of the front yard. Felt very comfortable being there. Only downside was the back double door doesn’t lock so if there’s a strong wind the doors would open up! But easy fix for the property managers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Problems with the cabin
The washing machine was constantly unbalanced, so it was unusable. The dryer didn't work. We had to go to the laundromat. The microwave didn't work, and some of the stove burners didn't work. Some of the blinds didn't close. The edges of the rug in the dining area were curled, so people tripped over it and almost fell. The upstairs sink drain was clogged. Poor lighting. Several ceiling fans would not run with the light off. We will not recommend this property to anyone else.

We rented the house for a long weekend with the family to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Appalachian State University. The house was great for us to all get together and the space was fantastic for 11 of us. It was so spacious and clean. I would definitely look to stay here again.
This is a lovely house, well made, good layout, nice furniture, beautiful view and centrally located between Banner Elk and Valle Crucis. But, there were a few things that need to be addressed. As others have mentioned, we found there is still an occasional stench in the downstairs "king" bedroom (which only has a queen bed). We had problems with the hot water (none or comes and goes) in the sinks of three of the four bathroom. The hot water in the showers was fine. The kitchen has some issues. Only two very small sauce pans. No regular glasses for juice or milk. Only 6 mugs/cups for coffee/hot chocolate. Lots of table knives and forks, but only a handful of tablespoons and only 2 teaspoons. These are mostly small inconveniences. We really enjoyed out stay and would come again. 5 Stars overall.
Might need to look into a new cleaning crew. The first thing you see when you walk in is the cleaning people asking for tip. But we had to empty the clean dishes. There was hair in the bath tubs. Home owners have evidence of cats. Upstairs is hard to get cool in summer while the downstairs is freezing. Had a man waiting on us at check out (before 11) read the details about no salt and pepper.
Beautiful home. Sleeps a lot. Would stay here again

Thank you you for the constructive thoughts. Your points have been sent to our Executive House Keeper.
This was our second stay at Camelot Lodge. We love the location and the layout is perfect for our annual family trip. The kids had their first snow experience and loved having access to the sleds. We appreciated being allowed access earlier than the expected checkin as the weather was getting bad the day of. While we did come across a few issues with cleanliness in the kitchen and living room, queen bed instead of a king bed in the downstairs room, the front bedroom and bathroom did not seem to have working heat so it was a little chilly and the dining table was very wobbly and a piece ended up falling off while we were sitting at it. All in all we still enjoyed the home and hope to come back and enjoy another stay next year.
For the most part everything was good, except there was a bad smell in the bottom rooms. Probably the sewer of the house needs to be fixed.

Excellent location and beautiful house
The house is in really good conditions, but I don’t think that it was cleaned properly after the previous guest left and prior to our arrival. Other than that, it is easy to get in & out even with snow, and it is located about 20 - 30 min from most attractions (ski resorts, tubing, restaurants, etc).
When we arrived most of the mountain had no snow but to out great surprise this property was full of snow. Beautiful and large cabin. Highly recommend this place. Only downside was the cabin could be cleaner. Seems they only do a quick clean for next guest but it’s not horrible either. Cabin is high in the mountain so the road to get there can cause motion sickness. It’s about a 20 min drive in the very curvy road up and down the mountain. We loved the place and recommend it.
Once again we had a great visit in Banner Elk. Love staying here with the wide open spaces and yard...perfect for kids. And the we had to name all the cows in the back yard. Fun.
