***Valle View is at the top of a privately maintained gravel road. The road is not plowed following snowfall. The mountainous road is uphill, curvy, and mostly one lane, so 4WD and tire chains are essential during winter snowfall and accumulation. Without this, you will likely not be able to access or depart safely from the property. If you are not prepared to use chains plus 4WD, this property is not your best choice for a winter vacation. The driveway and parking area will not be cleaned or plowed after a snowfall.***
Valle View, perched at the top of a quiet ridge in Valle Crucis with a handful of other cabins spread out to offer elbow room and some privacy, delivers delightful long-range layered mountain views. The property has a level front and side yard with lots of room to play, a wood-burning fire pit with cherry log stools, and a small fenced-in side yard, nice for guests with a dog. The backyard and covered rear deck are private. The village of Valle Crucis, with the original Mast General Store, restaurants and shops, a wonderful park, and access to the Watauga River, are all just minutes away.
An open-concept great room with vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, leather furniture, a stone wood-burning fireplace (not available for use in Summer), and a large HDTV share space with the dining area. The kitchen has stainless appliances and a gas cooktop. The dining area has a banquet-style dining table which can expand to seat up to eight (8) guests. Sliding glass doors open to a large covered porch on the rear with outdoor dining and entertainment furniture, skylights and ceiling fans, a gas grill, and a hot tub, all overlooking miles of unobstructed mountain views.
The main floor has a bedroom with a queen bed, an HDTV, and a full hallway bathroom with a large step-in shower directly across the hall from the bedroom.
Upstairs is a loft-style bedroom suite with a king bed, an HDTV, and a queen-size sofa. There is a second full bathroom upstairs as well, with a combination tub/shower.
Valle View has comforts like a washer and dryer, central heating and air conditioning, three (3) HDTVs with Roku stick/streaming capability, WiFi internet, Sonos audio, and plenty of games and books for guests to enjoy.
Valle View is pet-friendly, dogs only, and one (1) dog per reservation maximum with a 50-pound weight limit. The dog must be current on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. The dog must be crated if left unattended and is not allowed to jump on furniture or beds. Guests are responsible for any damage or additional cleaning made necessary by their accompanying pet.
**Please note: This house does have a fireplace but the owner shuts it off in the Summer months.

Great stay - awesome view. Cozy cabin. Great pet accommodation - but did not seem like a pet house (which is a good thing). Very isolated, stars were fantastic!
We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the hot tub, wood burning fireplace and the views. Highly recommend this place.

Loved the location and coziness of the cabin. Was clean and perfect for me and my wife. Would have been nice to have gas fireplace. Saw that there was a gas line to the fireplace, but no gas logs. I could imagine that getting propane delivered to the location would be difficult.
Great time, cute property with wonderful views. I had to track down information on checking in which was inconvenient, but other than that it was lovely.
Thank you for the great feed back. We are thrilled that the home met and or exceeded your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back to our home again in the very near future.

Wonderful location with spectacular views. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the great fire pit. Worked well with the dog - nice enclosed area outside. Generally well equipped (with exception of a hair dryer). Kitchen is small but fine for a weekend. Carolina Cabins were very easy to work with. Their willingness to switch dates was much appreciated

Thank you so much for the feedback. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the home and we cannot wait for a revisit so we can welcome back to our home.
The cabin was as advertised, super cute and easy to get to. Upstairs bedroom is a loft and directly over the bedroom on the first floor, so both rooms can hear each other. It’s a great little cabin for a party of four.

Cabin and property are exactly as described. Wonderful mountain view located in a spacious and well landscaped neighborhood. The only glitch was we were given a non-working check in number for the keypad but this was easily rectified by contacting the host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was in a great location near Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. I would definitely rent again.

Overall the house was nice, relaxing, fully equipped kitchen. I wish firewood for the fireplace had been included but we managed to get some. The only negative was that the mattresses were not comfortable at all. Thanks for a great week!
Beautiful views and kitchen equipment was stocked with everything we needed to cook. We saw wild turkey, deer, and rabbits each day. The neighbors were friendly and let us know when to look out for bears, but we didn’t see any this trip.
The road going up could be precarious in the winter, but we didn’t have any issues in May. Hot tub was a nice touch!

Great view
The Valle View cabin has a great view and the fireplace and hot tub make the experience even better. The location is good, but once the cabin is on the mountain if it is snowing you must have a 4WD car. The only complaint was about the cleaning aspect, but we called the office as soon as we arrived there and they offered solutions right away. I would recommend that place.
We loved the home, views were awesome, amenities were great, including Jacuzzi, TV netflix, fully atocked kitchen for cooking. Our only dislike was the long narrow, gravel dei way that a 1 lane at best. Of there was ice or snow there is minimal chamce you can get up without some luck and the appropriate vehicle. Home was fantastic though.

Thank you so much for sharing. We are truly thrilled that the home met and or exceeded your expectations. Thanks for the alert on the driveway, mountain driveways can require some skills to navigate, a hazard of the area. Glad you were able to handle it. Please come back and see us at your earliest convenience, we would love to have you back!
An incredible place to stay if you love beautiful views and peace and quiet!!! All our meals were on the porch that overlooked a bealtiful valley. Needless to say the porch hottub came in extremely handy after five mile hike up and down a mountain trail. Perfect location for doing things in Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Worth every penny!!!!
Ps. Make sure you have four wheel or all wheel drive for the drive up to the cabin, it really helps!!!

Thank you so much for sharing! Our greatest reward is hearing from our guest that they had a great time and enjoyed the home. Take care and we hope you will revisit again soon.
That house is 1 of 7 on well water and when we got there they had a leak so we didn’t have any water. Stacy was amazing with offering other locations for us to stay. However we decided to just come home. Kevin the maintenance man was so kind and friendly. He brought us tons of water and also offered to bring free firewood for the night. Everyone was very thoughtful through the whole visit. However we didn’t get to use the hot tub :( . But overall it’s a cute small cabin.
Nothing about this cabin was comfortable. Bed was lumpy, couch was stiff, any chair in cabin was stiff. The bed had a visible lump in the middle.
A dead mouse was found and there was rodent poison under the sink, not secured.

Carolina Cabin Rentals staff were very prompt and courteous until they got my payment. Cabin stay was wonderful. But I accidentally left a personal item at the cabin when we departed and I have called the rental agency 6 times in 6 days since departure. They will NOT CALL ME BACK to tell me the status of my item, whether it’s been found etc. I have asked for managers, had rude comments from the “manager on duty”, been promised a return call but, nothing. Horrible experience with this lost item and their total lack of concern or respect for my simple request for good communication. Customer service is a lost art apparently. Common courtesy and decency are not part of the agenda for companies these days. It’s infuriating. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH CAROLINA CABIN RENTALS again and will advise my friends and family to AVOID THIS COMPANY due to this negative experience.
Too bad for their cabin owners bc the property was lovely and exactly as described.

Catherine we truly regret that this is your opinion. You were not spoken to rudely but in a professional manner by everyone you spoke to. You were explained the lost and found policy and the reasons why we implore on multiple occasions in the booking process the importance of checking and rechecking before you vacate the home for any items that were not packed. You were told that the cleaners did not find your items on the departure clean and that we would continue to look for the item on the next departure clean. You were told that we could not send a cleaner back to the home to look for an item during another guest stay and interrupt their stay. I submit you were not treated rudely but reminded of the Terms and Conditions (that you agreed to ) when you booked. It clearly states how our Lost and Found processes work. On a happier note we are thrilled that the home met your expectations. Take care and safe travels!
Overall the cabin was sufficient, however at this price point, I was extremely disappointed with several things. The cabin while surface cleaned, has not been deep cleaned in some time, anything above shoulder height is extremely dusty(like an inch thick), cob webs all over the light fixtures(haunted house style), ashes were left on the fireplace hearth from prior guest/house keeping and there were burn marks in the carpet(not just one or two, a lot). It is pet friendly, the prior guests pet left poop all over the yard, even on the deck and no one cleaned it up, the shower curtain had mold all over it and the hot tub was not as clean as it should be considering we pay a hot tub cleaning fee. The hot tub also failed to stay up to temp, which seems to be a known issue since we asked the property management company, they new exactly how we could fix it. We contacted the PM company about the hot tub and shower curtain, only received acknowledgment of one item. I also left a review with them directly of the same nature, no response so far. If your expectations are low, and you're not paying a lot this place could be fine, however for what we paid per night, this was a dissapointment.

Hi Victoria,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share. Upon receiving your comments a thorough inspect of the home was conducted and where warranted a deep clean was applied. Regarding hot ashes or embers in a the fireplace. It is our policy as it is most vacation rentals to remove any ashes left in the fireplace between rentals. The only exception being if the cleaning team discovers hot ashes. In this case there was a departure just prior to your arrival and they started a fire prior to their arrival. The cleaning team left those ashes in the fireplace versus placing them in a container and transporting outside. This was done to reduce any chance of a fire. We service over 250 hot tubs and in doing so we have developed the ability to troubleshoot various problems that arise with all hot tubs. The result being we at times are able to walk a guest through some issues that can be corrected by them at that moment. This results in less time waiting on a service call and more time enjoying the tub. Our apologies but this was our objective in this case. Please know all of our tubs are serviced , treated and inspected prior to every rental. Pictures are taken at the end of the service to ensure the each tub is clean, fresh and balanced. This was the case here. We are disappointed that your experiences in any way fell short of your expectations and its our hope that you will revisit us again soon and allow us the opportunity to show you everything that this wonderful home has to offer. Again many thanks for bringing this to our attention.
