We had an amazing stay at “The Loft”. It’s a perfect location for all things Glacier National. But, we actually enjoyed Lake Five and the local food even more. If staying here, I highly recommend the trip to Home Ranch Bottoms for food and the experience.
We had a blast here! We definitely enjoyed the lake!! The boys made friends with the family next door and they fished, kayaked and boated everyday there!
Excellent place to stay to visit Glacier and also get to enjoy Lake Five! Be sure to ask the owner about renting stand up paddle boards, they got delivered straight to the cabin and we loved using them daily off the private dock and beach. Having those made the stay exceptional!
Great location to stay and visit Glacier National Park. Location on Lake 5 is a real bonus, nice sunsets on the lake after hiking all day. AC is a nice bonus for the surprisingly warm MT summer!
We loved the view of Lake 5. Boys caught a few small fish but had a great time on the dock. Cabin is just as described and perfect for my family of 5. Location to the park couldn't be any better.
This cabin is definitely rustic, but the location couldn’t be better for exploring Glacier National Park. The lake is beautiful, and my kids loved spending time on the small beach and dock. It was the perfect spot to relax with a cold beer after a long day of hiking. The loft was a hit with the kids, and the owners were fantastic—when the coffee pot broke, they had a brand new Keurig delivered the very next day. We’d absolutely stay here again!
The cabin is in a great spot outside of Glacier NP. It has a great view of a lake with some mountains in the back. Just the two of us on this trip but would be good for a small family.
This cabin is on a beautiful lake and is so close to west glacier entrance. I would highly recommend this place to stay. It’s cozy, clean and just simply cute! Thank you.
This property is in an excellent location. Older property, partially updated. Sleeps many people, but only one bathroom and no dishwasher or kitchen towels. Beautiful lake out back and comfortable to come back to after visiting the area. Beds were all comfortable too.
Nice property located only a few miles to west entrance of park. View from cabin as pictured in add, very nice.
Cabin fairly clean. Roomy. Overall very nice.
Only negative for me was no closets or drawers to unpack into.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The property was in a very beautiful location; we really enjoyed sitting on the deck and going down to the water. Our only troubles were that sharing 1 bathroom wasn't the best for all our adults, as well as not having much room for our baggage in our bedrooms. But that's it! You'll love it here if you are looking for a nice simple beautiful spot right near the park entrance.
Our family of 5 had everything we needed at this little place including a beautiful view! It has to be one of the closest places you can rent and be outside of the park. Just a few minute drive to the west entrance but also close to several restaurants nearby. We cooked breakfasts there each morning and had plenty of pots and pans to do so. When I had a question about check out (which was the easiest of any place I’ve ever stayed), the reply was very quick. We’d definitely stay here again!
The Loft is a fantastic little place that accommodates a lot of people comfortably. The lake is spectacular and it is close enough to town and closer yet to Glacier NP. Even though a lot of things were still closed due to how early in the season we went we still had a great time! If going to Glacier do your homework!
I feel like the description and pictures undersell this place a bit. We were a bit hesitant booking, but the reviews sold it and it was an excellent place. It's so close to the west entrance to the park - you couldn't ask for much better. And Lake Five is fantastic. We swam everyday after coming home from hiking. We had our family of 5 plus a friend staying and the 1 bathroom wasn't really an issue ever. The cabin is well stocked with towels, dishsoap, paper towels, and bear spray, which was nice that we didn't have to buy any. Overall, just a really great place.
This cabin far exceeds the photos and the description! The cabin is 10 minutes to the West Glacier park entrance. However it was a great, great get-away location in its own right. The views of Lake 5 and the changing color trees, as well as watching the snow storm was a real treat. Ryan was a great communicator and accommodating host. We are trying to figure out when we can come back!
This house was great. The kids enjoyed the loft area. The lake was great and had a beautiful view. House had air conditioning and washer and dryer. No dishwasher but had an oven and stove. We enjoyed our time immensely. 10 minute drive to Glacier National Park West side entrance. We drove to the park one day and just hung around the house the next because it was raining out. When the weather improved, we spent hours at the dock and the lake. It was a perfect stay, and I would definitely stay again!!! We ate at the Great Bear Cafe in Hungry Horse 3 times, which had excellent sandwiches and great breakfast sandwiches. And then every night we went to the Huckleberry Patch for shakes! It was a great trip, and this house was perfect. The pictures truly don't do it justice. I was very impressed.
We had an excellent stay at this adorable cabin on Lake 5 in the forest. The west entrance into Glacier National Park was minutes away. We were there for a short stay, but enjoyed the spectacular view of the lake and some time hanging out on the dock/water. We appreciated the K-cups of coffee/tea, dish & laundry soap, some small bathroom toiletries, paper towels, full size washer/dryer, salt/pepper, some seasonings for grilling, cooking oil, sugar, foil, sandwich bags. These were a pleasant surprise, and it was nice not to have to purchase these things for our few days stay. There were 2 foam coolers and bear spray in the unit as well. Our family of six used the loft for our teens and both bedrooms. We also noticed a pull out bed in the living area sofa. Plenty of sleeping accommodations and table/chairs for a large family. We would definitely stay here again.
