About this property

North Scottsdale Secluded Escape (Close to Rio Verde)

A very clean and comfortable house with a spacious family room and kitchen area where large groups can gather comfortably. The house is located on a dirt road with many hiking/biking trails all around. If you like kayaking The Verde River is only about 15 minutes away. The property is located approx. 35 miles from Bartlett Lake Marina in the heart of the Tonto National Forest. A great place to boat, jet ski, swim and fish. There are several very nice golf courses close by, Trilogy is approx. 5 mins away, Troon North and Tonto Verde Golf Clubs are just a 10-15min drive down the road and Grey Hawk is approx. 25-30 mins away, just to name a couple of the local courses.

The space

Beautiful single story home with 4 bedrooms that all have direct patio access to scenic views of McDowell Mountain Regional Park and Four Peaks. The house has all the amenities of home with a fully equipped kitchen. There is plenty of parking including a 3+ car garage and enough space for a large RV or horse trailer. For an additional fee the horse stalls can also be rented for those who want to bring a horse or two. If interested please inquire about the additional fees and rules for stable usage.

Guest access

Close to several golf courses, hiking/biking trails, Tonto National Forest and kayaking at Verde River. We are about a 40 minute drive from Old Town and Downtown Scottsdale.

Interaction with guests

We only interact with guests as needed. The house has a keyless entry and we will provide a code prior to your stay. We are available for questions via phone, text or e-mail and we have neighbors close by if you need anything.

Great Place to stay!

This is a great place to stay. Although it’s a little off the beaten path the rooms and amenities were fantastic. Located close to some great golf courses and restaurants.

The house and surrounding areas are beautiful! Super clean, great communication, fully appointed with all needed amenities from kitchen spices to nail polish remover. House was very secure for our four-legged!

Comfortable and serene

Because we love to mountain bike, hike, and ride our horses, this location was ideal. Close to over 51,000 acres of pristine trails. The house was well appointed and comfortable. We brought our 2 horses and there was enough room for them to roam, although a few things to note if you plan on bringing horses is that the paddocks are too small for average horse but the round pen area, and larger corral areas were adequate. There was a hazard in one of the corrals that we fixed by placing a large cone over it. Christine had rock added to large crevasses in one area which made it safer. The pool is not heated (which was not written in house description) in the winter which was a disappointment since we were all looking forward to lounging in and around it but could not go in because it was too cold. But we were able to gaze out over the beautiful scenery from the hot tub. All in all we had a lovely stay.

Weekend getaway

Took a weekend away to escape the subzero temps in Minnesota. We spent the weekend with friends enjoying some outdoor activities and then found our way to the new hot tub to relax. The house was beautiful,very clean and offered some spectacular sunrises. The owners were great to work with and always responded to my questions within an hour or two. Even though it is a ways from town I would highly recommend!!
