Enjoy the very best of old and new at this McKenzie Bridge home, a beautifully restored log cabin with a classic front porch, a sparkling interior, and a wonderful woodland location for exploring the nearby river, hot springs, and hiking trails. Originally built in 1909 and lovingly restored in 2016, the cabin's interior makes thoughtful use of natural wood, exposed brick, and pristine white walls. Prepare meals for a crowd with ease in the full kitchen, where you'll find stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), abundant cabinetry and counter space, and a large eat-in dining room table. Pass the morning hours outside on the porch, where you can read the newspaper in a rocking chair or use the free WiFi to plan your next hike. Grab your rods and tackle to spend the day fishing for rainbow trout or Chinook salmon; you'll come home to a private washer/dryer for your clothes, a pellet stove to warm your toes, and a flatscreen TV for movie nights in the plush living room.

Avoid this rental!!
There was long hair all over the downstairs bathroom, walls, floor- everywhere. Disgustingly dirty floor. I don't think it had been mopped for a long long time. I cleaned before my family arrived. The toilet upstairs was only half cleaned The coffee maker had old used and moldy grounds from the previous use. There was a large load of half dried towels in the dryer. There was a stack of plates in the cupboard that each was so dirty it seemed like butter was smeared on each one. A bowl with cobwebs and mouse droppings. Empty bottle of pellet stove lighter fluid so had to use lit paper towels to light the stove, no working lighter. The list is much longer than this. I’m not sure what cleaning standards they use here.

Lovely Log Home!!
Beautiful home, awesome kitchen, plenty of places to sit and sleep and close to LoLoma Lodge where we were taking part of a family wedding, Wish we could have stayed longer! Only issue is if you open the windows at night, there is some road noise from trucks using their airbrakes in that stretch of the highway. Otherwise perfect place.

Great time, great location, great groundskeeper, would recommend
Fantastic stay for family and friends who visited over the holiday. Great location and just far enough out of town for privacy. Love the house and river location. Groundskeeper was very nice and personable. --- 5 stars all around. Only recommendation is replacing door knobs on doors in the house. -- i recommend they are replaced as a few are falling off doors and i could see someone getting stuck in a room and that wouldnt be good ;). -- will definitely recommend and would love to stay here again

Perfect for a Group or Family Getaway!
Wonderful home! Roomy, spacious kitchen and living areas. Perfect for 3 generations of our family, in town for a wedding just up the road at Loloma Lodge. Tons of space for everyone to spread out or gather together! Nice back yard for Bocce Ball or other games. Big table for games and meals. Comfy beds and furniture. Very clean and cozy. Only thing off was that there weren’t any extra towels. As it turned out, we discovered on our final day that they were all in the dryer, along with a couple sets of sheets. Because there was so much crammed in the dryer at once, all were still damp and a bit stinky. Needed to be washed again. Tried to communicate with local contact “Kevin”(?) a couple of days before our trip but did not revive a response to call or email. Sent a text and got a reply “wrong number”. May need to update the contact information in the listing. Also, the access to the deck overlooking the river is through the neighboring property and not clear how to get there. Signage and more clear instructions would be helpful. We felt like we might be trespassing. Aside from those minor glitches, we can’t say enough good things about the home, amenities, yard. We would come back again and again and recommend this home very highly. The setting was spectacular. We felt at home as soon as we stepped inside. Can’t wait to go back!!!
