A nice place with all the essentials and easy walking distance to some attractions! Owner was on top of communicating and easy to get a hold of with questions/concerns.
Came in for a graduation without a car. Was the perfect walking distance to town so we didn’t have to rely on others for all our meals. Apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient.
we spent a lot of time out in the courtyard it was very relaxing. all neighbors were very nice and helpful. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The place was quiet. If were are back that way we will definitely rent again.

I saw 1 roach in the kitchen the first day and then 1 in the bathroom and another in the kitchen the next morning. We went to the game, came back, packed and hit the road. Didn't even wait for morning. There was a blood stain on the comforter. We completely stripped it off the bed. The place gave me criminal vibes! I will never stay here again.

Thanks for your review. We like all reviews good and bad. That's the only way we can improve. We have never had a bug problem. The entire building is under exterminating contract. We are one block from the Mississippi and all the Baton Rouge sewer pipes flow there and with heavy rains or high river it will push bugs living in the drains toward the residences but that is rare. We change out all linens and towels each visit. We own the building and have plenty of extra comforters and towels so if a cleaning person cut themselves or something and touched a comforter not knowing it we'd gladly bring another. Your review is the exception as all of the latest reviews have been high. You didn't mention the great benefits like the location to Tiger Stadium which is what I assume when you say you went to the game. Maybe your team lost and you were in a bad mood or something. I can't explain such a statement as "criminal vibes". We have the highest ratings possible on the BIG bed and breakfast site with over 100 reviews. Thanks again anyway for your comments as we will certainly continue to improve with each visit.

Place is decent, owner is a liar and rude.
Location is solid, unit is decent. Clean enough, saw a few bugs, 1 big cockroach but with its proximity to the river that's kind of expected. Overall the unit and location I was happy with. I was a long term guest, over a month long stay. The problem is the owner is a liar and very rude. Thought he was going to talk down to me and disrespect me but he had the wrong guy.
First after a few days I noticed a water issue in the bedroom. I informed Paul that there was water and I cleaned it up but it would come back. He told me he would come look at it the next day. He did not, it was not until I mesaaged him again the next day that he finally came the following day. He pulled back the carpet and told me.to leave it back and put in a dehumidifier. After a day or so a huge water bubble formed in the ceiling in the bathroom that was dripping gross water. I again informed Paul instantly and this is where things got bad. He told me there was nothing he could really do as it was Easter Weekend. So I asked if we could move rooms or what our options were because it was not livable. He said there was no other units. He said "Sorry I can't just snap my fingers and all is fixed." And maybe I should find a new place if I wasn't happy. Keep in mind this is after I have paid for the entire stay. When I responded telling him to not act like its my fault and being rude and that I'd talk to him in person his attitude changed, and all of a sudden another unit was made available.
The second issue was before I booked the unit, I specifically asked if I could extend my stay if needed. I am here for work and the exact time frame was not known. Paul told me yes I could extend and that it wouldn't be an issue. Well, once I needed to extend he told me I could bit extend my stay. After some more words about this he offered the original unit which in his words was uninhabitable. After I declined and some back and forth he told.me it was obvious I never owned a home and had an emergency lol. I own several. I have tenants, I have never not had someone show up for a water leak immediately. He is very condescending, rude, arrogant and will never take responsibility for his property issues.
I would avoid if you can, guy is not a good person. There are many places to stay in this cool little city where the people are extremely nice and helpful, this isn't one of them.

This guy had a chip on his shoulder. Obviously very insecure and feels any little thing he didn't get right away was some sort of disrespect. We own the building with many units and take care of everyone. You can't contact me one night and expect me to be available 24 hours. Expectations were ridiculous. Sorry when someone has an issue but they do happen on occasion. so if this guy needs 24 hour front desk, maintenance guys on call and full time cleaning crew then he needs to check into a hotel. However, the reason we got into the business was because of the lack of amenities and still lots of problems anyway at a high cost. Good luck to this guy. Next time he's looking to pay nothing but expect everything he needs to go elsewhere. Would never rent to this guy again and would have more peace for it. Good luck to anyone who rents to him.
The building/condo are in the historic district meaning they are a little bit old and beginning to show just a few wrinkles. However, when you step into the condo you start dancing and hooting & hollering because, happily, you are in the middle of Mardi Gras in NOLA. Awesome!!!
The condo is very spacious and has great comfy couches and ditto on the bed, a big walk-in closet and well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of reserved/private parking spaces just a few steps from the condo.
Weather permitting, you can enjoy a beautiful yard with flower beds and trees, shrubs and bushes. There are plenty of chairs and tables and there even are some small grills.
Another plus is location, location, and location. Easy walking distance to the former and current state capitols/museums, some really good restaurants, shops/stores and other touristy to-dos, like the planetarium.
The host is super responsive and helpful – we twice queried him for some family/locally owned and locally frequented restaurants/hang outs and both recommendations nailed it!! Further, they both were only a short drive from the condo.
Oh, BTW, be sure to bring beer and find a pizza delivery shop nearby because the host has left you some beer mugs in the freezer. Ice cold brew and pizza to watch a game or movie. Another AWESOME, P!!!
We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed the location. We were able to walk to so many restaurants and attractions and the neighborhood felt safe and secure. Paul was prompt with responses and really provided a great vacation rental for our stay.
Our stay was awesome and the property manager was available to answer questions and help, even at 10pm when I needed an extra blanket for my LSU Tiger wanting to crash on the couch the first night we were there. We will stay there again!
Love the location, nice courtyard actually looks better than the pictures to me and it’s very quite. The air conditioner could be better. It took a few hours for the place to become a decent temperature. Other than that I loved it. There’s Netflix on the tv and you’re walking distance to downtown. I would stay here again.

Cozy, quiet paradise
This place is a short walking distance from the centraplex (overlooking the mighty Mississippi River). Accessing the highway is a breeze and for being in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge it is a quiet, relaxing place. The owner was very interactive and checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely consider booking again when I return to visit.

It was just ok. Things not as advertised.
The place was ok, and I would have given it a higher review if not for misleading descriptions. It said washer/dryer available. It is not on the unit, but a coin operated one shared by the whole condo. It said cable/satellite provided. All that was there was an antenna. Finally, the wifi was spotty due to router being somewhere else an signal having to travel through brick walls.
Like I said earlier, it is a decent place, just with the descriptions were more truthful.

Hey Bryan I want you to come back and stay again. You'll be surprised. The building has a private wifi other than the one you used which is super fast. You probably didn't get that one. The T.V.'s are smart t.v.'s so the great private wifi allows steaming anything! We've made a couple of changes that make a big difference. I want you to experience the real deal. Thanks for visiting.
About the host
Hosted by owner/property manager
My Louisiana roots run deep from the founding of the state. Yes, I've got the Cajun blood running through my veins. I enjoy travel, exploring new places, good music and especially good food. I'm always open to new experiences.
Setting up my place to share with Airbnb guest was a no-brainer. The downtown Baton Rouge scene has changed a lot over the years and has become the new HOTSPOT again. I can direct you to all the local attractions and the best restaurants around for your taste pallet.
I set the place up with some things I feel make the stay more comfortable and special. I provide the Hotel Luxury collection of sheets, pillows and over sized towels. I installed spa like shower head and hand held sprayer. I found a special brand of soaps, shampoos and conditioner, Matrix, exclusive for Wyndham collection.
I enjoy my hometown teams, LSU and the New Orleans Saints, but won't hold anything against you for supporting your favorite teams. My spot is minutes up the road from LSU.
I'm in the real estate and mortgage businesses so I'm pretty much available all the time. If I'm tied up I certainly get back with you asap. I try to give guests space unless you need something and I'm there.
So with all that said you can book my place with confidence you'll get the most out of your visit to Baton Rouge.
Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful visit.

Why they chose this property
I recently told someone if I was visiting Baton Rouge I would stay with me. Not only is it the perfect location to see all the sites and visit the history of the city through the Old State Capital, Museums, and other interesting places, but it's only 2 blocks away from 3rd street which hosts numerous restaurants, bars, pubs, grocery to enjoy some local food and fun.
The unit is located close enough to walk to your favorite downtown hotspot, but just outside the hustle and noise for your peace and quiet.
The property has everything you could want to live like a local.
What makes this property unique
The building was built mid century and has some unique qualities not in newer units such as all of the exposed brick walls. We've brought all the units to today's standards so you have modern conveniences with a little old world style.
