We stayed at Henrietta House for 8 days and it worked perfectly for us and what we needed “home base” to be. If you need a place to stay for a week+, we highly recommend this home. The owner was attentive and very sweet for checking in on us during our stay. We absolutely love the neighborhood and took advantage of evening walks. Very lovely time overall and will definitely be back!
For us the location was perfect. We attended the Rodchester Red Wings games and the location was 15min from park. We also attended Eclipse events at the park. The house was extremely clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We had no problems at all with our stay.
This house is exactly what we needed. It is clean, cozy, and close to friends and family. For the second year it has made new years travel a breaze. No problems. Easy access. See you next year!
This property I will have to say was very nice and clean. The area was peaceful and quiet. You were by everything that you would need and plus some. The owners communications were quick and on the spot. I would definitely use this location again when I go to New York.
Great property, quiet neighborhood convenient location
This great three bedroom property was a wonderful place for my husband and I to stay while in town for a family weekend wedding. It was conveniently located very close to all kinds of shops and restaurants, as well as the Wegmans on Calkins Road. Quik trip to downtown, the airport, and more. Master bathroom has been completely remodeled as has the guest bath. Onsite laundry made it very easy to wash clothes before we even came home! Good location for DoorDash delivery as well. Will stay here again.
We arrived on a Wednesday after 4pm. The house was easy to get to as we used Google Maps. It was clean when we walked in. I let the host know when we arrived and she right away responded and stated to call if we needed anything. The location is great. We were not far from a Walmart where we went grocery shopping. Close to the freeway and the Rochester airport was about 14-15 min. away. We were gone most of the day but enjoyed the house in the evening where we made dinner a few nights that we were not out late. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and we had four adults so it was very comfortable.
Family members stay to attend wedding in Rush, NY. 1970's (?) tract house in quiet neighborhood, close to Wegman's for food and supplies. Close to major thorofare. Met our needs very well.
Dissatisfied with VRBO contacts. Tardy and inaccurate check-in information. Fortunately, host provided correct information prior to arrival: but only just.
Good host follow-up. Enjoyed seeing deer and fawn in back yard.
As a family, we rate the property at solid “C”. It was safe and clean. No extra frills but overall comfortable. Our only major complaint would be the window air conditioning units. The one located in the master bedroom is extremely loud and located directly over the bed making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Bring ear plugs!!
Owner was easy to contact.
We stayed here so we could attend a wedding. The place was clean but a little broken down. Before you even walk into the house, the stairs are broken. When you walk I to the house there is an overall musty smell. Portable air conditioners in all rooms. In the master, the hose that goes out the window is over the bed. Little things here and there broken and stained. The kitchen is minimalist but that’s ok for what we needed it for this weekend. We knew there was no coffee pot because of the pictures on the VRBO site (Keurig only) so we brought our own. I am thankful to the owner for opening their home to us as a VRBO. I hope they make some upgrades and repairs throughout the house soon.

Dirty. Unsafe for children. Old and not like any of the photos. Property needs a lot of work so not worth the money. Started with remote control that was broken taped up and buttons missing. All the way to seeing cockroaches in the kitchen. Cobwebs. There was a grill but it was dirty and the bbq utensils will on top still dirty from the last use. Difficulty getting any reimbursement from the management so now reaching out again to VRBO. Also do not understand how or why VRBO allows this property to be on their website. The best rooms were the bathrooms

Pictures advertised do not reflect actual rentalOvergrown trees and front porch in need of desperate repair One br had an odor and place was full of glade plug ins very overwhelmingThe couches sink and upholstered br chairs have stains kitchen table has an old tablecloth looks dingy and its stained . Shoes left in closet and freezer full of food. Pots and pans are teflon with scratches. Laundry in basement has a dim light at bottom of stairs and its all concrete and scary looking i did not do laundry. The bbq outside is all greasy grimy and the utensils are rusted. Just awful. Do not rent here.
Very responsive host and a clean house with all needed linens, air conditioners for every room, electronics, cookware, and dishware. Family gathering to attend graduation at U of R.
My family and I stayed her while in town for my son's graduation from RIT. When I pulled into the driveway, there were three large trash cans at the curb. Two were laying on the ground with trash scattered all over the lawn, curb and driveway. It wasn't the best impression. I reached out to the owner (or manager) and she responded very quickly and apologized and said she would call the garbage company to pick them up. The next morning the garbage truck came by but only picked up the can that was upright. My husband, son and 78 year old father picked up all the trash and put everything back in the cans and rolled them up to the house. The house looked a little ramshackle from the outside but inside it was very clean and had plenty of room. It was a great location, close to restaurants and RIT. We took a walk around the neighborhood one day and it was a very cute, quite neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. The living room had enough seating for everyone. There were several empty bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers but we just went to CVS (which was 39 seconds away!) to get what we needed. I would stay here again.
Like the other 3 star reviews mentioned, the house was freezing when we arrived. Considering it was the middle of February, I would have expected the house would have been warmed and prepped for our arrival. The temperature was set to 50. The house was slow to warm up but finally warmed up over the course of 8 or so hours later. I was able to dig up some space heaters after seeing others mention they were in the house. They leave the AC window units in year round and the air blasting in from the windows was terrible. They have been sealed off with just some duck tape. When I contacted the owners to tell them the house was freezing, the response was clearly an automated response "Thank you so much!" with a smiling emoji. So a total lack of support from owners with this situation. Otherwise, the house is just as shown in the pictures and met our needs for the weekend. Kitchen has bare necessities. A tea kettle would be a nice addition. They did offer a K-cup machine and a full set of K-cups coffee for the weekend. Plenty of blankets and extra pillows.
This property remains one of those rentals that we’ll want to return to when travel next brings us to the Rochester area. It’s clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood, close to shopping and local attractions.
The host takes care to make her guests feel welcome with great communication, coffee and bottled water available as well as a fully stocked kitchen, personal grooming supplies and very comfortable bedding. We’ll be back!
The house and property were exactly as depicted online. The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, such as kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, laundry soap and iron/ironing board. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. It was a real home away from home and we loved everything about it!
Very pleased with house and location. The town was a pleasant surprise. Location convenient to family living in Fairport. Not bad drive to Niagara Falls.Overall, very nice weekend.
