This is a very nice home in a convenient location. The host is very accommodating and the home is well stocked with everything you need to cook meals. We truly enjoyed our time there!
We loved this place! It was our home away from home for 5 days. The location was perfect, it was beautifully restored, and impeccably clean. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces, there is a cozy front porch and a relaxing patio to soak up some sun. We were within walking distance to downtown destinations which worked out great and there were many food and coffee places close by. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very accomodating. The house was beautiful and supplied with all we needed. The outdoor space is relaxing. There is a grocery nearby. The neighbors were friendly. It is a beautiful place to stay. Thank you!
Our third time here, four days on this trip. This restored property is absolutely beautiful. It’s always clean, well equipped kitchen, great bathroom, bedrooms and large open space. ideal location for us. Clint & Gillian are the best hosts! We love this place like home away from home!
My friend and I just got back from a great five-day stay in this well-maintained older home. It’s well-kept and had such a wonderful local feel. We especially loved hanging out on the porch and in the outdoor space! The beds were comfortable the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The hosts were extremely responsive. The location is in a residential city area, which was perfect for us. It’s about a 35-minute walk to the convention center and the basketball stadium. Like most cities, you’ll see some homeless people around, but I never felt unsafe, even when I walked by myself a few times. Just like any urban area, it’s good to be mindful of your surroundings. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Phoenix!
Just what we needed. Super close to many things and wonderful restaurants. Wi-Fi speed was excellent. If you want some place quiet, I highly recommend.
We love this little house. The location is perfect for our needs. Easy access to the "10". Short drive to every place we needed to be. This was our second visit - nine days this trip. Very clean, great kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, beautifully restored and the owners are really good people! Its only a short drive or uber to the Roosevelt Row area. Just a bit far for us to walk but not an issue for us. 1927 House is our "home away from home" in Phoenix!
Extremely clean home. Perfect for a couple and two kids. McDonalds and Starbucks 2 minute walk. Just off busy 7th street and just north of I-10. 1.4 miles north of Chase field…either a $10 uber or pleasant 30 minute walk to Diamondback games
This is a nicely kept house in the heart of Phoenix. We stayed for a surgical visit to Banner University Hospital. It served as a place to sleep and recuperate after visiting a family member during the hospital stay, then as a spring board place to recuperate after the surgery. It is very comfortable and the restoration of the property to it’s original period made it feel like staying at grandma’s house. I highly recommend staying here.
We were looking at hotels for a 4 night stay to visit multiple family members and friends, who live in Phoenix/Scottsdale. The house is very conveniently located in downtown Phoenix. It is right downtown, but on a residential street that felt safe. The house was super clean and comfortable. We loved that we could have breakfast at the house and weren't stuck sitting on a hotel bed watching TV when we had a little down time between activities. The house has been beautifully renovated. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again the next time we visit family.
We were greeted by Thomas at check in and he took the time to walk us through the property and show us everything. The house was very clean. Back yard was in a state of repair so I’m sure they’re working on it. Shower was a bit strange (it’s just open to the rest of the bathroom) but we got used to it quickly. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was updated and had a variety of newer kitchen utensils and dishes.
We would definitely consider this property again when we return to Phoenix to visit family again.
We really enjoyed this house. Clint & Gillian were there to greet us at checkin, made us feel welcomed and assured that if we needed anything to just call/text anytime. We really felt at “home”, the house looked nice in photos but much much nicer in person. A wonderful restoration. Centrally located to downtown Phoenix close to many museums, restaurants, venues. City noise was expected but in person not really a distraction. Fantastic kitchen, very nice spacious shower bath. Private backyard with grill, covered dining and natural gas fire pit very lovely on the cool evenings in December. We definitely will try to stay here again if it’s available the next time we come to Phoenix!
Wonderful property, the house was perfect for us and in a great location with easy access to the surrounding area. would absolutely stay here again when we come to Phoenix. Hosts were great as well, very communicative and super smooth check in!
Gillian and Clint have lovingly restored this charming house and another next to it, with great care and charm. It is perhaps the nicest rental property I have ever stayed in across the country, and I've stayed in countless places. The house is fully stocked with every possible necessity, especially in the kitchen (which delighted me, as my main reason for staying in a house rather than a hotel is so I can cook at home while traveling for work). The bathroom is more than luxurious with a huge shower (no tub but that's not my thing anyway), there's a huge backyard with cool barbecue setup (too hot out for me to enjoy in August but I'll be back again in the fall), the bedroom is comfy and very quiet, laundry, tv, a working radio (yay!), everything is just perfect. Cheers to you both, for creating this lovely home away from home, and sharing it with the public. I really appreciate how beautiful you made this place. For me, it is also super convenient as I was working downtown just a few blocks away from here. I had expected to travel well out of town before finding anything nearly so nice. Even my Phoenix work colleagues couldn't believe what a find this is, so close by. Really looking forward to coming back very soon. Thank you!
We stayed in this historic home for a month and it's location was perfect for our needs. Located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, it was an easy walk to downtown for coffee, museums, and gardens and to the nearby grocery store; within biking distance to trails and canals; only a block from I-10 to connect to mountain hiking trails. The bonus was that when returning from an active day, we could sit on the homey front porch or by the backyard firepit to relax and refuel. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked and beautiful and Gillian and Clint superb hosts. If we have the chance, we will stay here again!
Perfect Vacation Accommodations While Visiting Family
The property is a beautiful historical house. It provide all of the features and feels of being home but in a different setting. This house allowed us to entertain our son and his girlfriend, as it has a beautiful relaxing backyard. Lastly, the location is convenient to the airport, Safeway grocery store, Starbucks and restaurants. I highly recommend this beautiful property. You will be pleasantly surprised.
I stayed at this wonderful for a month during the Christmas and New Year holidays. It was a great place to work remotely (high-speed bandwidth provided) and to relax. Very nice outdoor areas in the backyard and front porch. Super convenient access to the freeway to get across town. Lots of nearby amenities. Loved that I could walk to the grocery store, drug store, museum, Starbucks, etc.
The hosts are lovely people that added thoughtful holiday decorations, treats & fresh flowers. They were very helpful with questions and responded immediately. It was my first VRBO experience which was outstanding.
