The apartment was great and only 10 minutes from our kids' house. Walking to Corina straight uphill was the workout we didn't know we needed. The parking garage was a ghost town so we didn't have to worry about parking downtown. Walked to the Spanish steps and had dinner in the iconic Temple which was so lovely . We are not used to big city homelessness however and being above bars was a new experience in noise management not only re unruly patrons but recycling of bottles and then the early morning garbage trucks... but I guess earplugs are the order of the day.
The apartment was great. Loved the size and all the lovely art. A perfect place to stay for two months. Street scene is very urban, may not be for everyone but we enjoyed it for the most part. We recommend this apartment highly.
Great space in a happening area with an owner who is willing to make accommodations a guest requests,

Tacoma's Best Shorter Term Stay
I have rented this unit for more than two months and it has been perfect for me! Wonderfully located in the heart of the best part of downtown Tacoma. Spacious and totally up-to-date with upgraded furnishings, etc. Even a private indoor parking garage! Beyond the control of management there is frequently a lot of construction noise during the day. My only real concern is the lack of periodic cleaning during the longer term lease that I am doing. Other than that, management has been great to work with.

Great, convientent location with onsite parking.
This is the perfect place for a short or long stay in the Tacoma area. There are a few bars and restaurants steps away, and a great parking spot in a garage on the first floor. The owner, Travis, is accommodating to all requests and needs. The place comes with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

About the host
Hosted by Travis Scheff
My name is Travis and I am a local business owner in the downtown Tacoma area. I live on site in this beautiful 100-year-old historic building.
The Rowland building was completely renovated by Laura Hanan and family to turn it into this beautiful mixed-use building and built two beautiful identical high-end condos featuring custom cherry wood cabinetry, original brick walls, and refinished 100-year-old Doug Fir wood floors. You will find original art work displayed through out the building.
Why they chose this property
Laura Hanan and family found this beautiful old building - a dusty gem - in the heart of downtown Tacoma - the Theater District. We saw the raw potential of the area and since purchasing and remodeling our building we are in the center of a lovely new restaurant, pub and brewery row, which proudly includes our own bar and grill, 'The Office', downstairs in the building. We are honored that our building is also on the local register of historic buildings.
A new Pacific Northwest heavy-hitter anchor tenant, McMenamins is being built less than two blocks away from our building and will feature a music venue, theatrical events, and a brew pub in the grand old historic Elks Building.
What makes this property unique
We love to pamper our guests with condos that are furnished tastefully and include all original artwork. A complimentary bottles of wine, chocolates, and pound of fresh coffee, await our visitors. We live on site and are available to help out with restaurant suggestions and information about the wonderful local events and places to visit.
