Enjoy a week in Northport waking up to stunning sunrises and views all afternoon that make you quickly forget any worries....Wind your day down with a beautiful sunset and a bonfire all on the beach just a few feet from this spectacular house!
Completely remodeled in 2017, this 2350 square ft Northport beach house sits on 130 ft of remarkable Grand Traverse sugar sand beach facing south with full sun exposure all day and spectacular views of crystal clear blue water!
Open floor plan with vaulted ceilings throughout features a brand new gourmet kitchen with Kitchenaid appliances, white quartz countertops, and a large island that seats 4. The kitchen blends into the living/dining room with a large table that seats 8, a sectional sofa and a 50" 4000k flat screenTV. Off both, the kitchen and living room is a large deck with a gas grill and seating for 10.
The house can comfortably sleep 14. The Master bedroom has a king bed with an attached bathroom with a full shower. The Master bedroom has sliding doors that face south with full water views. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 twin beds. The second bathroom has a full shower and tub and double sinks. Bedroom 4 is a very large "bunk room" 3 full beds and 3 twin(bunk) beds located in a unique built in bunk. The bunk room also has a large seating area with a pull out sofa, 50" flatscreen TV and sliding doors with lake views that lead to the deck. The bunk room can serve as a 2nd living room. Adjacent to the bunk room is a 3rd bathroom with a shower. There is also a laundry room with a new washer and dryer.
The house is located 3 miles from the town of Northport--an easy bike ride or a nice walk to Barb's Bakery, The Garage, Northport Marina/Park, The Mitten Brewery, and Tuckers. 15 miles to Leland, 21 miles to Suttons Bay.

Summer trip

Very nice house overall that works well for a large group. The back yard is especially nice. The only odd thing is the bath room that has an opening into the kitchen at the top of the ceiling. Northport is a great little town.

Perfect for a family vacation

The property was absolutely beautiful with all the amenities needed to feel right at home. The bedroom set up was perfect for our three family groups to come together for the week. The best feature by far was the amazing beach, sandy bottom water, and beautiful bay views. All within minutes from the village of Northport. We will be going back.

Great Beach House for a large family

Perfect getaway

The beachfront is perfect. We loved paddle boarding, lunch on the deck and then s’mores from the fire on the beach. The kids loved the bunk room. We even loved the neighbors. The town was cute with a great bakery and a great brewery, along with cute shops. Highly recommend.

Had a great fall family vacation at the property! Great location and exactly as advertised. Home owner was very great to work with and went above and beyond to accommodate my group on short notice. We had such a fantastic time in Michigan. The beach access right out the back door was phenomenal with little ones, totally eliminated having to carry all the things to and from the beach for a visit. Separation of bedrooms was perfect for a family stay/comfortable sleeping arrangements. Owner was so friendly and made extremely available. This is the perfect house for accessing this part of Northport Bay. Two of the bedrooms, the kitchen, and the living room have entrances onto a lovely wrap-around porch leading to the private beach. The children spent hours in the lake. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and modern.

A Great Lake Retreat

The beach and water are the stars of this location - the clear, shallow, beautiful water and soft sugar sand, just steps from the house, were perfect for our little ones and the whole family. The house is newly renovated, modern, and quite comfortable as well, with views of the lake from all the main rooms. We had a wonderful family vacation here in this very special part of Michigan.

An Up North Paradise

This property is a true Beach House. It is completely as described. All rooms were clean and tidy. The kitchenware (pots and pans, silverware and plates and bowls) and appliances were top notch. This house fit our party of 10, which included 4 young children, with ease. Off the kitchen / great room was a full width deck that made the house feel bigger than it actually is. The kids loved the bunk room with its own couch and TV. For a group of this size, 3 bathrooms were a must. Outside, beyond the deck, was a grass area for lawn games and beyond that a big sand beach which the kids put to use. This led to crystal clear water and a long dock with plenty of seating room at the end of it to ponder clouds, sunsets and life. Northport, just a few minutes away, is quaint with gift shops, a great bakery, grocery store and restaurants. We rented a pontoon boat in Northport and saw the sites along the bay. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would do it again.

Why they chose this property

I began visiting Northport when I was 10 years old when my parents would bring our boat North and keep it in the marina for the summer. As I began to have my own kids I started to realize just how amazing Northport and Leelanau County are--I call Northport the Aruba of Michigan and the best kept secret in Michigan, if not the Midwest. My wife and I searched for years for the perfect place to call our own in Northport and we found it in 2017. I spent the majority of the Summer and Fall of 2017 gutting and upgrading this "Beach House" so that it would be an amazing place for my family, my friends and those looking for a fantastic week on the lake in Northport.

What makes this property unique

This house has incredible views from just about every room and typically has calm water in front of it as it is protected on 3 sides from the wind. The beach is pure Michigan sugar sand and is just 50 feet from the deck with no stairs or bluff to climb.--I believe this to be one of the best stretches of beach in Leelanau. The area offers things to do 12 months of the year.
