An historic residential neighborhood, peaceful and safe. Surrounded by beautiful Victorian era homes where just about all our neighbors are our friends. The recently opened Preserved Restaurant is about a 30 second walk and is a "must try". It's a two minute walk to the Ice Plant Restaurant and the Saint Augustine Distillery and walk for a few more minutes and you will arrive at the San Sebastian Winery both of which have free tours and tastings, the winery restaurant has live music at the weekends. We are close enough to everything we feel the entire town is our neighborhood.

There is public transportation in the form of " The Sunshine Bus Company" Pedi-Cab services and the trolley services (Old Town Trolley and Ripleys). with a stop just a couple of minutes away at the Ice Plant Restaurant. We were not aware that the accommodations were on the 2nd floor with very steep, narrow stairs .
The space above did not permit me to finish my concern regarding the access to the lodging. For older individuals, this is a dangerous situation for seniors. The beds are way too soft.. The balcony was a nice feature for "Happy Hour" and the location was very good for walking around the town. Overall the property was not what we had expected from the photos presented on VRBO website...we would not have selected this place if we knew about the stairs and condition of the house.

Excellent apartment near downtown
This apartment is in an excellent quiet residential location, very walkable to all the hottest spots in the historic downtown area of St. Augustine. We didn't need to use a car to get anywhere except the beach. The owner, Lizy, was very easy to communicate with and she did an excellent job decorating and appointing the apartment. We (a friend and I, each taking one bedroom) were very comfortable in this well-kept, clean space. The second floor shaded porch was a delight to rest on when we needed a break and connects to each bedroom in this unit separately, so you don't need to disturb anyone resting in the other bedroom to get to it.

Lovely
We had a very lovely stay for a little spring break get away with our daughters ages 6 and 10. Very clean and close to the historic district as well as a short drive to the beach. We enjoyed coffee on the front balcony each morning. Keep in mind of having younger ones stay here as it is an apartment in second floor and our 6 year old was walking very heavy footed and we had to constantly remind her to walk softly so not to disturb guests below us. Lizy was a wonderful host and was quick to respond with any questions we had and also quick to assist as anything was needed! We had a wonderful stay…my one an only complaint would be the uncomfortable seating in living space which I had a feeling by seeing pictures beforehand and wasn’t a deal breaker. If you plan on being out and about no worries! There were a couple evenings we watched some TV or a movie as a family and the seating is more for looks than comfort. Aside from that everything was GREAT!!
