This one bedroom upper level condo is perfect for a family or a romantic getaway. 1 of 3 adjacent properties we own. Great for a couples retreat or 2 to 3 families wanting to vacation together but have your own space. Sister properties are listings 910613 and 1307489. This Condo sleeps 4, has a queen size bed in the bedroom, a Queen size futon in the living room, and the kitchen is fully equipped. This property offers a private deck, A/C, flat-screen cable TV, WiFi, and a fire pit. It is a short walk to the bar/restaurant, heated outdoor swimming pool (open mid June-August), and Port Superior a full service marina. It is nestled in the woods with a short walk to the lake for down time after a full day of adventure or you can sit by the pool over looking the marina. Bayfield is a 2.3 miles from our property. Bayfield has a fresh fish market, farmer's market on Saturday, shopping, bars, restaurants, live music on the roof top at the Inn, art galleries, and a maritime museum. Take a ferry ride to Madeline Island for the day or an Island cruise through the 22 beautiful islands of the Apostles. The area offers sailing charters, fishing charters, and kayaking. There is an eighteen hole golf course, apple orchards, awesome mountain biking trail and concerts at The Big Top Chautauqua. The Big Top Chautauqua offers free shuttle from Port Superior Marina. Winter- The Ice fishing is awesome, snowmobile trails, snow shoeing, down hill skiing, Cross country skiing, rent fat tire bikes to bike the islands and Ice caves weather permitting. We are a non smoking pet friendly property.

Kimberly was very helpful and responsive - we were left with very little TP and needed a cork screw- she immediately went to buy those items and dropped them off! She was very sorry and friendly and we visited for a bit. She was lovely and the condo was so beautifully decorated! Had a great stay!

We enjoyed our vacay in Bayfield and loved the condo. It is nicely decorated and has a comfy bed, and an air conditioner that was our life saver during the "heat dome" of the upper midwest.

Size of unit was perfect for myself, wife and small.dog. We would make breakfast in and adventure afterwards. Under 10 minute walk to marina/restraunt/pool and 10 minute drive to downtown Bayfield. Hosts are great communicators. Would stay again.

Overall, nice stay in Unit 7. Clean and freshly remodeled condo. Nice, hot shower. Some cons: WiFi/internet is terrible. My husband needed to do some work, and it was nearly impossible. We had better access in the middle of Lake Superior. There were some dirty sheets left in the closet when we arrived. Could use more towels and a king sized bed. The air conditioning unit worked well in the kitchen/living room; however, it was warm and loud in the bedroom. We rented a boat slip at the marina, and this property was exactly what we needed for the little amount of time we spent in it. It was a nice getaway. Thank you!

Overall it was a good property, and we enjoyed our stay. The host also went out of the way to give us early access. Kudos to her! There were two disappointments. First, the cleaner did not put on a top sheet when the bed was changed. There was no extra sheets available, so we had to sleep using just the bedspread. Certainly not the worst thing in the world, but it seems like something most cleaners would not overlook. Second, water could not be diverted to the tub, and would only operate as a shower. The push/pull device on the valve was inoperable. My wife prefers a bath, so we had to fill up the tub running the water from the showerhead. Again, not the worst thing to deal with, but an amenity that should be available.

We were disappointed with our stay. The condo was not what we expected from the listing, which described it as newly remodeled. In person, it felt quite dated and looked much nicer in the photos.The biggest issue was the bed. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable for both of us, and my husband was unable to sleep in it and ended up sleeping on the futon for the entire five-night stay. I realize mattress comfort is subjective, and there was a previous guest review describing the mattress as comfortable, but unfortunately that was not our experience.There were also several smaller issues that affected our experience. The AC unit was extremely loud—you had to raise your voice to have a conversation and turn up the TV volume considerably. The towels were very wrinkled rather than appearing freshly fluffed, which made me question whether they had been properly laundered. There was no body wash or bar of body soap provided, so I ended up using the Palmolive dish soap to shower the first day.A few simple improvements would also make the condo more functional. An additional mirror somewhere outside the bathroom would allow one person to get ready while the other is using the bathroom, especially since there is very little counter space. A toilet paper holder would also be helpful rather than having the roll sit on the wet bathroom counter.The owner was responsive when we reported the problem with the bed, but unfortunately the issue could not be resolved during our stay.

The property is tucked within the dense cover of trees to give a little more feeeling of seclusion though not far off Highway 13 at all.Portside Bar and Restaurant is nearby and Bayfield is less than 3 miles away.Our Condo was clean and spacious enough for the two of us.The kitchen was clean, fully stocked with utensils, cookware, and dishes, and all appliances were clean and working.The owners were friendly and responsive.

Mark and I have been visiting the Apostle Islands for the past 15 years. We currently keep a sailboat in the Apostle Islands Marina. We fish, hike, sail, and mountain bike. The 22 Islands have so much to offer from light houses, sand beaches, hiking, swimming and berry picking.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it is a resort style condo 2 miles from historic Bayfield. The property has a heated pool (open Mid June-August), full service marina, walking/biking trails and down hill/cross country skiing. It is nestled in the woods for down time after a full day of adventure. You can enjoy sitting by the fire pit, grilling out or just hang out on the deck.
