This charming cottage was a great base for us as we went about the area on business. Check in was very easy. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, as is the main bathroom. The living area is comfortable, with cozy couches to snuggle in. The host has supplied small touches throughout the house which go a long way toward comfort while traveling. Checkout was a breeze as well--if we have any suggestions as to needs, a measuring cup would be a helpful addition to the kitchen for those of us who like to cook our own food. Beautifully located, this is a house with enough room and quiet for and enjoyable stay.

The property has a fantastic location with close proximity to downtown Vienna and Tysons which was a huge factor for us in choosing a place to stay for our long weekend. Superficially the place was clean; however it is in need of a very very deep clean! The caulk all around the downstairs shower was discolored from black mildew. There are no flat sheets on the beds only a comforter or blanket which smelled dingy like it had not been washed in awhile. We could not leave the sunroom drapes open bc the windows clearly have not been vacuumed/cleaned in a very long time; bugs and spider webs covered the insides of the windows which does NOT match the photos on the posting! I would not call the sunroom "cozy and inviting" based on our experience. At a cost of 289/night I expected much better quality than what we got. Overall, the property served the purpose however we would not stay here again.

This 1950s vintage home provided a very convenient and cost-effective base for our family while in town for a funeral. The location is excellent—centrally located near Tysons Corner, which made navigating the area very easy.The house itself is quaint and cozy with some nice modern enhancements in the kitchen.The host was very helpful and responsive whenever we had issues, which we truly appreciated during a difficult time. A solid choice if you prioritize location and value.

Our stay for a family reunion was excellent. We found the cottage itself very clean. The couches are very comfortable, and the area rugs are nice. Be careful of the floor transitions, but that’s part of the “vintage.” The host was responsive to communications in a very short period of time. The neighborhood is quiet and in a great, convenient area. You are not far from anything in the surrounding area, depending on your interests. The driveway fit 2 vehicles comfortably. While the inside of the cottage was very clean and had some nice upgrades in the kitchen, bathrooms and windows, the outside could use a good clean up. Overall , a very nice stay.

The cottage was nice. We had a few issues while staying which made things not as comfortable. There was a leak and a lighting issue. The lighting issue was resolved the next day, but the leak couldn’t be fixed while we were there without more disruption to our trip. So we couldn’t use that shower at the end of our trip. The twin bed was very uncomfortable without much support which meant we couldn’t use that room. The King bed was very very firm as well. We did like the location and the kitchen was very nice. We appreciated the space for our family while visiting the surrounding areas. Overall it was an ok place to stay for the price.

Was moving my daughter to DC and needed a place for my wife and I to stay during the process. Home was fantastic and owner extremely responsive (typically within minutes). Property is located in nice safe neighborhood. We were able to park the U-Haul truck in the driveway with no problems. Owner provided a snow shovel and bucket of salt, which was great since we got caught in a winter storm and needed them. Owner reached out and offered to extend our stay if our flight back got canceled, which was very thoughtful!My wife and I were very pleased with this property and will stay here again when returning to the DC area. A big thanks to the owner for a wonderful experience!

My family of four stayed at the cottage over New Years Eve. The location is nice, and convenient to stores and restaurants. Also, the host was very prompt about communicating and quickly provided some missing items for the kitchen and rectified an issue we had with the hot water.However, this house is not ideal for a stay during the cold seasons. The house is drafty with many old windows that do not retain heat. Even with the furnace running almost nonstop, we were wearing sweaters the whole stay. Throw blankets in the living room or a working fireplace would certainly help. The first floor bathroom was drafty and cold with a leaky window by the shower. So we all used the tiny closet shower upstairs.The kitchen was adequate, but not stocked with basic spices or oil. It seemed like only the bare essentials were provided, but really no thoughtful touches that would have made the stay more enjoyable.Overall, it was not a bad stay. But I would probably not return.

Fun in Vienna

My family of 5 and our fur babies stayed in this awesome renovated cottage central to all things DC and Northern Virginia related. Nice neighborhood, close to good restaurants and a grocery store. Appreciated the coffee and snacks. We had plenty of room to stretch out. The cottage was clean and cozy with a lot of character. We even got to wake up to snow one morning. Will stay here again when visiting the area.
