About this property

All Season Country Retreat

A private country cabin tucked back from the road with open lawn and wooded areas. A large pool (June-August), hiking trails directly behind the home, a fire pit, front and back porches and a large stone hearth for cozy winter nights –– endless family fun. Located in heart of Columbia County with elevated dining options, local family farms, recreational activities and renowned cultural institutions all within a 20 minute drive.

Located in Ancram, 10 minutes off the Taconic Parkway. 15 minutes to Hudson, 20 minutes to Catamount, 30 minutes to Great Barrington. There are nearby markets to pick up local produce, hike waterfalls, or visit art museums and sculpture parks and a wide range of dining destinations. We’ll provide you with a list of our favorite restaurants, markets, farms, and general cultural outings.

The interior of the house is spacious and clean with modern furnishings. On the first floor is the kitchen, dining room and two bedrooms and a full bath anchored by the living room with vaulted ceilings and a large stone hearth as the center piece. Upstairs you’ll find a library nook landing with a primary bedroom and ensuite.

There is highspeed internet, Sonos, and a smart tv.

If there are dates you would like to book but don't see available please request. We use this as a family retreat throughout the year and can be flexible.

Lovely cabin on a lovely piece of land with a lovely pool and a lovely host

We spent 8 days in this very nice cabin which easily sleeps 8. The house is spotless, easy to care for, and very well appointed. Check in was a cinch, we were provided with all necessary information and then some. The grounds are beautiful and the pool, although chilly, was very nice as well.

We loved our stay!

We spent 12 nights at the house and we absolutely loved it. The house was extremely clean and well maintained. Erica and Patrick have great taste and arranged the cabin in a way that just made sense - everything was organized and well placed. There were lots of toys for my kids to play with. My kids said it was their favorite house that we rented. The screened in porch was perfect for breakfast, the fire pit was clean and easy to use, and the pool was great. Erica and Patrick were extremely responsive and Erica emailed me a list of local restaurants, supermarkets, and activities ahead of our stay, which was very helpful. The property around the house is really nice - it is removed from the main road so it is is quiet and relaxing. We also loved exploring the area! Thanks so much for a great stay! We highly recommend the house and hope we get to rent it again soon!

Excellent stay in Columbia County

My family and I had a wonderful time at this incredible cabin in Ancram, NY. Its location is perfect - it has the feeling of being rural and off the grid but is close by tons of farms and fun attractions. The saltwater pool is fantastic and was a huge hit with my daughter who just learned how to swim. The cabin is modern, clean and has all the amenities you need. Our favorite feature was the screen porch out back where we spent most of our time. The hosts were gracious, kind and very easy to communicate with. I recommend staying here to anyone.

Greatness

Whenever my wife’s no filter grandmother came for a visit in NYC, she would make a list of “all the dumb things” about her hotel room, the hotel itself, etc. Her lists made us paranoid that she was always keeping a secret list about our place, but we also found them both funny and generally accurate, so in a kind of playful tribute to her we fell into making lists wherever we stayed. There’s no list for this house! All experienced vacationers know that true relaxation begins earlier and hits a deeper spot when you get a sense that your host has essentially thought of everything. My wife and I stayed here for a full two weeks; we thoroughly enjoyed not only the house and pool but also Erica and Patrick’s attention to detail and just generally their smart decisions about how to set up a vacation house. But readers please be good and don’t rent in mid July as that is our time.
