West Shore Cottage
We had another wonderful stay at this small cottage. It is close to lots of hiking trails and places to eat. Being in a quiet neighborhood makes it easy to relax on the patio and enjoy the mountain atmosphere.

Well maintained vintage cabin in great location
Cabins of this era have such craftsmanship, character, and charm! I'll always choose to stay in one over the nicest hotel or resort. A true Tahoe experience. Everything is just as pictured/described. Any suggestions are very minor - could have used a few more hangers or hooks, and the bread knife wasn't sharp enough to handle sourdough -nothing that would prevent us from staying again in a heartbeat! It was great to be able to do laundry a few times and to pack lighter anticipating that benefit, as well as not needing to pack beach towels as they're provided (we flew from NY). We have stayed in this area before and love the location, close to the Fire Sign for breakfast and central to everywhere else we like to visit. Richard was great to communicate with and responded instantly to texts. Don't hesitate to book your stay here. Everything was just lovely and we hope to return.

My wife, Barb, and I have been in Tahoe for nearly 50 years. I own and manage Tahoe Park Realty, located just .25 miles from this cottage. We live and work on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. We are always close by to assist you with any concerns or needs for general information. I enjoy the area and love to mountain bike ride, ski, hike, cut firewood, and appreciate the wonderful seasons we see at the lake. My major goal at the time is to teach all seven grandchildren how to ski.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is a great small getaway for a couple or small family. Once you arrive you can leave the car and walk to the lake, ride a bike (two are provided), go to fine dining, have a great breakfast at a fine restaurant. In the winter the access off Hwy 89 is flat and it takes around 15 minutes to arrive at Squaw or Alpine. Come home and build a real fire, have some wine and relax.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is a real mountain retreat. Knotty pine walls, stone fireplace, upgraded kitchen with gas range, level access from the highway, easy access to summer activities and winter sports.
